Honest belief: she said yes because vorgsen recognizes the danger that morena represents, and integrating herself into the group not only gives her a powerful Nen ability, but also direct agency into the actions of the Heil-Ly. After all, notice how in Morena’s description of her ability, nowhere was it stated that Vorgsen *must* be loyal to Morena; furthermore, Vorgsen has seen firsthand what the Heil-Ly can do, and the repeated clarification of Morena’s goal seemed to me like someone assessing just how determined Morena is to follow their goal to the bitter end.

I feel like since the game itself is an extension of Nen, the card she chooses will always “change” to what her true desire is for an answer- that would explain why it didn’t matter who chose the cards and the shuffling is just for show so Borksen can’t see that the moment of her choice changes the identity of the card. Why I believe this is that it could be possible for someone to try and cheat at the game to gain membership and betray Morena, something she would be wary of from her past and working in a crime family; an ability for getting people to join and wanting your interests to align would make sense to require your choices to reflect your actual desires so Morena can’t be fooled that way

Nah, this is confirmation bias. On the semi-canon side, Leol and Hina arent that bright. On 100% canon characters, Alluka is older than Kalluto and much less mature than him. Neon was very childish too. Tseri is not intelligent per se, just a prodigy of Nen. Meleoron, Renko (character from Chrollo's backstory), Pakunoda, are normal, none of them did something crazy. I might be understimating some of them but compared to those four in specific, they are just normal. Also, plenty of smart characters in other categories, its just confirmation bias.

Theory craft--Theoretically, Borksen could join, and also choose to not level up or unravel and sabotage Morenas plans, while stille having Contagion. She could choose to not kill people for the game, and only level up when killing in self defense or for the sake of dismantling the Heil-Ly. Togashi is an incredible storyteller, so much respect

What seems to make the most sense is for Borksen to learn Nen under Morena, cultivate a specialist ability (knowing there isn’t a restriction on other types that can be molded into her ability), and develop a hatsu for the purpose of replacing Morena as the head of the family and using them to change Kakin as she said she would What could also be interesting is for her to learn Nen under Morena and eventually Tserreidnich or her pals will rescue her, and she will share her knowledge of Nen with the group, and perhaps if she hasn’t gotten a hatsu by then she may choose to develop one to help Tserry

After the last string of questions offered to Morena, she can't do that, she long sense lost her naivatay to live a normal life knowing about nen, Morena's backstory, she could only feign ignorance beyond this point. I think you left out the "cut" between the Enhancers question and the last question. Borksen asked many other questions that got skipped, probably she tried the "There 2 Enhancers? 3 Enhancers?" strategy and found out all she could think she needed to know. She probably know a substantial amount of what Morena knows, inclunding some of the abilities of the members and destribution of afinities.

Im certain that we will shift focus to back in time during the negotiation but to follow kurapika classes + silent majority plot or melody + luzurus attempted murd3r plot ... and I will be pleased enough. I am hoping Borksen becomes Komugi to Morena(Mereum) and has a change of heart. Morena is too OP with strong nen and she can gladly and justifiably take her revenge on the Kakin family , she'll find plenty of allies like Kurapika, spiders, Halkenburg et al😅. But then use this chaos to build a better world that she never got which is a simple life just like Borksen dreams of. Now, Togashi has already shown connection of mind and heart with Mereum and Pouf and Koupi and it could be that Borksen and Morena are now both connected spiritually and her infection could become a gateway for her to touch Morena's soul and help her with her trauma.❤❤

Tbh this result was the only way the game could’ve ended. If borksen pulled the no card, she would have died and all this exposition and internal monologue would have been pointless. If she pulled the x card the same principle applies (guarding any nen ability that allows her to regain her memories). Hence the yes card was the only correct choice, especially with the knowledge that borksen was constantly trying to find out details about morena’s group, which would have been pointless if she had ever intended to take the x card in the first place.
