The King's outburst was not so much him reverting. It was more him trying to convince himself that that he is *the king* . That his true purpose is to be the ultimate power and not meddle with human feelings. Despite this his more human attributes are sneaking in on him, whether he wants it or not.

The whole thing with Komugi's Awakening was actually set up way back in York New. While Gon and Killua are trying to buy shit to auction off, they start using Gyo to find things made by master craftsman, because Nen can sometimes be awakened in people who are absolute masters of their craft without them even realizing it. Like, I doubt Komugi has ever even heard of Nen, she just thinks she's having a moment of inspiration.

Her being so happy(which is kinda sad that a murderous chimera ant has treated her nicer than anyone else ever has) and the King so confused at his own emotions. I knew the Normies would be shook by this episode and I can't wait to see how their minds will be blown by some of the upcoming episodes.
