My partner and I had a 1980 CL 9000, and boy am I glad there's a statute of limitations for some of the things that truck did. Our cab didn't chew gum, but we had air seats and a six foot spread drive axle.

When you tightened ur alternator it made me think of the old days where a tight alt belt turned into the bearings in the fan or water pump or whatever accessory is on the alt belt.....yup ...good times..❤️🇺🇲

There really isnt anything wrong with how any of that was loaded. I am shure he was dodging scales where possible, but than again I have seen sombody get a ticket for factory applied dot tape on a brand new truck.

That was a factory paint scheme for the Ford CL9000s called "Soft Fan" design in the sales literature and available in several color combinations....

If I remember right then this truck and the trucker was going west and did have to change ALL tires on the truck on the way..... All where old and he bust it all of it on the way where he is going from now..... good to see that he is putting new tires under BEFORE the trip..... will follow this trip.

I bet this was quite the adventure...🤪👍 So since you showed us the first rendering (back when you were in UT) of the cab-over I've been thinking a lot about the front axles, twin steering was/is way cool !!! A buddy built a which truck with this configuration... The problem I think you are going to have is you won't get enough weight to the front to justify twin axles. It's likely in the end to hinder your overall weight capacity. Having said this if this is a dream to have this with the twin axles & steering I say go for it.... Just know it's not practical for the application.... LOVE the vid & content, at 59 I've learned so much from watching you fab things up, keep it going young man.... Great job..... Tim B

Like a show but I used to be a long haul truck driver before i became disableso be careful if you get DOT inspection they will red tag you for that cracked windshield I would recommend getting that fixed have a good one

Truck driving school I went to had those cabovers drove a lot of them and then a rock company I work for had a few of them I drove quite a few of them and many other trucks I have drove no no more now I drive a power wheelchair. What fun that is. like the show very clever on the welding I'm kind of curious at what your axles weights came out to

I’m in the truck tire business and you gotta change the o-rings on the valve stems especially on those old aluminum Budd wheels. If you don’t it will cause a leak and that’s probably why you had one come off the wheel. Best of luck.
