I'm honestly shook by Lagiacrus being top 3 since we got sooo many new players with World and Rise, but I can't say I expected anything less than Zinogre in the top 1! My boy is perfection and always gets the sickest intro's in every game, the Amatsu fight in rise making a reference to their first encounter had me way too hype. The literal definition of a hype beat right here!

It’s weird, but with normal Zinogre I tend to think he’s alright. But Stygian Zinogre’s toughness, and nonchalant attitude as he rolls his neck when you begin to fight him makes me like him a lot more. That and his red lightening motif just adds to his aggression. It just seems to suit the Zinogre theme more to me.

Favorite animal: Wolf Favorite element: Lightning 3rd favorite color: Teal Absolute favorite creature in all of fiction: ZINOGRE!!! Zinogre checks all those boxes for me so of course it's my favorite, but there's also it's proud, majestic nature that's unlike anything else in Monster Hunter. Plus an iconic, memorable theme and it even has my favorite instrument as a Hunting Horn! It really has that "Was this designed _just_ for me"? kind of feel and I always knew it was really popular, but seeing it overcome EVERY other Monster puts a smile on my face. ...(Or maybe that's just the Fulgerbugs zapping my cheeks...)

I know Rathalos is considered the flagship for the entire franchise, but I could easily see that treatment going to Zinogre if say even for one future installment in the series. They’re both like the Pikachu and Charizard of the Monster Hunter franchise. I like to imagine if in Smash Ultimate, alongside Rathian and Rathalos, Zinogre was added as another boss. That would have been sick.

Top 3 monster's are very likely to return to MH Wilds. They did something similar in a magazine. The top 3 Rajang, Tigerex and Kut-Ku all returned in 4th gen. Anyway, excited for more MH Wilds info this summer. 🙂

Truly well deserved, no other monster in this series has the kind of presence and awe Zinogre carries. I won't ever forget my first encounter with him back in 3U, when I saw him, he didn't roar at me, all he did was turn to look at me and roll his shoulders and head,and then he just WALKED at me with all the swagger of someone who knew he would, and could, kick my ass. He killed me twice and I barely scraped out a win that first battle, and ever since them, he truly has become my favorite monster of all time. Congratulations Zinogre!

Ma' boi! My favorite monster of them all! Hyping him up aside, Zinogre has been my favorite ever since 4U, and that hasn't changed. Made his full set of armor, which I hadn't for any other monster yet by that point in the game, and his cutscene actually made me feel properly intimidated - he knocks down a bloody massive rock just to get at you The OG Fanged Wyvern and, in the opinions of myself and clearly many of us hunters, the best of his class. Though was happy to see his extended family begin to show up in World.
