It would need to practically be a live service game with years and years of updates. Or the other option is do what they did with classic titles and port monsters over. But Capcom has gone from MT FrameWork engine with World, to the new RE Engine with Rise and Wilds, so it's kind of hard to port monsters from one engine to another. So lets hope that after a few more MH games on the RE Engine, they can have the luxury of porting more, getting us closer to the possibility of having every monster in an MH game.

What are you talking about? Most of the big name frachises are as old as MH or even older. Starting with Super Mario which is a tirle thats been around for 4 decades. Then we got Zelda, Metroid, Donley Kong. Younger franchises include Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, God of War...the list goes on. Chances are, by the time your kids become grandparents, these franchises will still be around. Because we need to milk them for all they are worth FOREVER.

I think another issue is the voting system itself. When you have 229 options then the single vote system is going to result in a very skewed graph. I think having people pick best AND worst would give a better idea, or even top 5 and bottom 5. That would provide a more real picture of what people actually like and dislike to give the designers more insight into how to move the game forward in a meaningful way. Everyone is going to be disappointed by some change or another. But looking at a single data point is not helpful feedback.

Well, at least Lagiacrus is third That's a happy part I really hope Capcom will figure the problems out for Lagiacrus for gen 6 If they do, he finally makes his return I miss seeing him because he's unique and he hasn't appeared in many games besides stories. I even wanna see Agnaktor and Nibelsnarf too. I'm also happy Vespoid Queen and Hypnocatrice are both in the front. It's surprising to see Iodrome, Gendrome, Great Baggi and Great Wroggi all being in last. That's a bit sad, but it's still cool to see other monsters in the front.

I was gonna say there is nothing redeemable about Lavasioth but his Longsword in Generations Ultimate is the highest raw damage you can get at that point in the village quests. And I've used it in many playthroughs because of that.

I'm genuinely shocked, (no pun intended), Khezu is so high up the list, but at the same time I'm so happy it is. It's the monster that taught me how to play MH properly instead of just trying to treat it like a standard action game, and those memories have stuck with me over all these years. While there's plenty of other monsters over the course of the series that I've formed a connection to, (Bazel probably being my second favorite at this point), Khezu will always make me smile whenever it appears.

Though not my favorite or hated I feel the same way Khezu taught me to not be greedy. That said I am sure there are 3 types of people that would voted for Khezu. 1.Trolls. 2.Lumivyre 3.Lumivyre's fan base. But folks believe that Capcom takes the data of most hunted monsters and if that's true Khezu and others would only be hunted for their parts, Khezu has paleextract and eveyone needs it, so this doesn't really count as a popularity test.

@@kotzer71 Rathalos is the flagship monster of the entire series as a whole, and the highest he got was 21st. Flagship doesn't mean they will be popular just means they get more focus. Nergi isn't a fun fight and he isn't all that interesting lore wise. He has some good gear which you would expect from a flagship monster but not like the best gear in the game. So excuse me if I don't get the popularity.

Despite the fact that Tri was my first MH and that I love the Lagiacrus and Brachydios like one would love a good old friend, I simply had to vote to my favorite little buddy, Nerscylla. Spiders are my favorite type of animal, yet Rakna-Kadaki never clicked with me in the same way Nerscylla did. Its empty stare, how it moves unfocused and yet so elegant and precise at the same time... it just feels like a mindless animal simply programmed to hunt and ensnare its prey, like any spider should. A 108th place might sound like a disappointment, but really, I couldn't be happier. I never expected my crawling friend to break into the top 50%. And at the same time, my second-favorite Forbidden Monster, Alatreon, just barely made it into the top 10. Neat!

Anjanath being so low is a crime. It's such a good design. I think people just forget how good it fits in the forest and how organic and cohesive it is. It has so much detail and care put on its anger stage. A lot ranked high because they're powerful but design wise there's many head scratchers.

Valstrax's results were insane. Base got the 4th place and variant with the 20th. Then its Risen version literally 33rd, whereas Risen Shagaru Magala being second most voted Risen elder, placed 71st.

Would love a version where any subspecies/variant type monsters votes were moved to the base species. Or at least have access to the number of votes so I could make such a list. I feel like some monsters may have fell victim to getting their vote split between multiple versions and a shorter list would be much more readable.

Picking so many, one or the other MH monsters can be stressfully tough, or confused with similarities, but if picking some of them in the Racing Realms of AcceleVerse that I created an idea.

It is amazing how many monsters we can meet and face within 20 years (not counting the JP exclusive MMO spin-offs). Both the good and the bad. I am glad to be a monster hunter player. Rest in peace to those who did not make it to this occasion. Happy Hunting everyone.

As a Zinogre fan, I'm happy that the Zinogre itself made it to the top spot. As an Azure Rathalos fan however, see that it's in 112th place, I say: Fear the Azure creed It's roar, the Alpha and Omega Of all things Voltic Chains! If you get the reference, you're awesome!
