They are. They were on the X4 when I bought it.

90+db in cab all stock at idle seems odd with the X4 supposed to be quiet. I seen a review where the X4 was around 77db. in cab at idle. Also was under 100db. in cab at 50 mph. Seems to be a big discrepancy with different DB meters, interesting. Definitely sounds better with the aftermarket tip on!

The meter I have is not a super expensive one so maybe it’s not as accurate as a more expensive one would be🤷🏻‍♂️ Still works in showing there is no difference in how loud the new tip is with the stock, just sounds better, which was what I was after!

You don’t. Will it benefit from a tune yes but it won’t hurt the machine without tuning it. A tip alone isn’t a big enough increase in flow to make the machine run lean….well, leaner than it doesn’t from the factory…lol

Was watchin another video of yours and noticed a childs seat between the rear seats. How did you mount that? Is there a video about this? Thinking a doing the same instead a buying a full bench rear seat. Thanks for any info.

I show it installed in my Rmax, which is exactly how I had it in the X4. Pretty much just a ratchet strap to the tie down loops behind the seat. The top tether I notched a slit in the floor under one of the bolt cover caps in the middle. Jason, do you know if this has helped the engine/exhaust run any cooler? I just bought one of these and am about to install it on my Gen 1 Wolvy.

I don’t know that for sure. It’s not a big enough change to see any performance gains but you are making the exhaust pipe diameter a touch bigger so it’s possible it does but it’s not going to be any significant amount as the muffler internals are unchange. You would need a better flowing muffler to see any real improvement in exhaust temps.

So I can find the tip for an X2 850, any suggestions? second question what oil do you use in your X2 4 seater?

They are revising the tip a bit before releasing to public. That’s why it’s not yet available but as soon as it is I’ll let everyone know. Other than that there is no other tip in the market yet designed to be a quick bolt on for the X4. I use the yamalube oil in mine. Check out my oil change how to if you have any questions on the process!

Looking to slap one of these on my 19 X2. I'm assuming there's no need for any type of tuning or programmer with this since it's not the whole muffler correct?

Correct. It doesn’t open up the muffler enough to need to change anything with the fueling.

X2 exhaust is the same as the X4 so the tip listed for the X4 works for the X2 as well. It is now available on the Hunterworks web site.
