You mention gearing differences, I take it the HD7 is geared lower than a regular 700?

The extra plug was for the excell models that had a gauge cluster on the handle bars. They used the same harness.

Curious about other engine options.... ie... 700 ect... not sure how much room there is to cut out motor mounts and weld in New motor mounts from a honda talon, or CBR motorcycle line?

Hey I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Can Am - How "extra low" is the low range on the XU HD7 vs a regular XT700? Cheers from Ontario
@AppalachianMountainRiders14 күн бұрын
Not much. Barely noticeable. My hd7 rips just fine and you don’t feel the difference till in the top end.

May I ask - is low range really low for towing, or comparable to other atvs? I ride trails mostly in low a lot. Thanks!

I have a question for you if you don't mind , I have one of these in my shop for a rebuild . I had to pull the transmission shafts out to clean them because there was a lot of crap that went through the engine . The shaft uses internally splined bushings with oil holes through them with gears riding on them and I am not sure if the hole in the bushing has to line up with the hole in the splined shaft .It will go on in as many positions as there are splines . The bushing has a radial groove on the inside which would allow the oil to circle the inside of the bushing and exit it anyway . I did not notice the position when I slid it of the shaft . The Honda factory manual says nothing about this ?? The manual hand drawn pictures shows what I am saying but makes no mention of it . They go as far to mention positions of washers and snap rigs. Your help would be greatly appreciated .

Hi guys I was talking to dan from carns and he explained you own the property. I live near by off Greenville pike. And I rode they a few times. I got permission from who I thought owned it. I'd love permission from ya'll and I would enjoy riding with you. I mainly just hillclimb. Don't litter nothing like that. Dan gave me your KZbin channel. Again I would love to ride and I know some pretty hard hills in other areas if your up for it.

Curious about installing a piston from a honda 700xx in one. Same bore, guessing a 11:1 piston would have little less because of the shorter stroke....but should increase the power bu a few hp......check out with a compression tester if 160 lbs or less should be ok on pump gas...

Hey! Great video but I hope you don't mind, I have a question regarding my Arctic Cat "BEAST"! I own a 2016 Arctic Cat HDX 700cc side x side "hunter edition"! This is my second Cat and my once "2 RIDER" ATV had a Parking Brake on the left handle bar and for whatever reason... MY SIDE BY SIDE DOES NOT HAVE AN EMERGENCY BRAKE/PARKING BRAKE/THINGY TO USE TO KEEP MY RIDE FROM ROLLING BACK OR FORWARD AND TO NOT HAVE TO RELY ON THE "P" TO KEEP ME IN PLACE IFFIN' I HAVE TO "PARKIT" ON AN INCLINE...WHY??? It also does not have "ENGINE BRAKE", which my ATV did have which was a much needed asset in my very steep woodlot! I like my machine but if I had known that it did not have these 2 very important features, I might not have bought it

I have one. I paid $300 for it. I've rebuilt the carb, and redone the fuel system. When that 185cc kicks in right, it is almost scary. I did not hear the motor kick up like mine does. Maybe an adjustment, and you can really have a good time with that.

I've got about 900 miles on my x4, am I due for a clutch service? Looking for an opinion from someone who's had these apart. I'm happy to do the service but don't want to open it up if I'm way early. Fairly light use, most riding under 20mph.
@AppalachianMountainRidersАй бұрын
Recommend clutch service is around 1600 miles so you’re good for a bit yet.

I've got a GEN3 Black 1000cc Touring and I'm pleased with it. She's a monster and handles everything I throw at Her and asks for more. Only complaint I have, and it's petty, is the seat insert should come standard with these machines because unless you're out riding with a passenger, you're gonna remove that seat. The engine braking works just as it should and each of those driver settings specially the Sport mode are awesome!
