Whenever you pop widescan and see the name of an NM on the list my heart skips a beat. It is all too familiar!

Thanks a lot for these FFXI videos. It's nice to see all these iconic stuff documented in a video. Get to relate to someone else looking back fondly on the game.

I was always really big into NMs before the cap was raised off 75. I would say the most pain in the rectum for me was Eastern Shadow. I went 1/27 Even after I had 10+ jobs to 99. Always had fun camping every NM I claimed. But him! ugh never want to see his face again. My ranger was closeted at 73 before I laid FFXI to rest. It's so awesome to see people still enjoying the small and my opinion best parts of the game. CAMPING ALL THE NMs!!

haha I've seen that guy!! I was always down in Fei Yin for all sorts of nonsense...don't think 'i go the drop though. just looked it up and I feel like I'd remember getting a bow like that. I know I can't wait to go for some of the more ridiculous ones the higher I go haha

Keep it up. Also, not sure if you're interested in having a look, but found a private server based around the old 75 cap days. Good bit of fun, if you wanted to have a look. Anyway, look forward to more vids in this series - will keep myself entertained with your non FFXI vids in the meantime! ffera.com/

Gotta ask if you are still a fan of the hardcore mmo's. This was my first mmo and your vids are definitely bring back the memories. Thank you. Been looking at a game called Pantheon: Rise of the fallen, made by a creator of everquest. Only through searching this game did I realize how similar EQ and FFXI really were on the spectrum of gaming.
@Huntin4GamesChannel8 жыл бұрын
you know it's tough, I've tried most new MMOs that have come out in the past 5 years, and struggled to find one that fills the FFXI hole. I still want to like Hardcore mmos, although the time investment is tougher these days, but just haven't been able to find one. Yeah! I always wished I'd gotten into EQ before FFXI, i barely touched it and was really confused haha. I'll be keeping my eye on that Pantheon, it looks neat! Late 2016 and 2017 have some mmos that look interesting...

BST was my first "main" that I really cared about, and I remember setting aside a lot of my gil for a monster signa but I never knew where it came from. Probably because I was from Sandy, but cool to finally find out now haha.

Ewww dirty San d'orian lol. But yeah haha I had a bunch of gear that I'm only now finding out where it actually came from

Back in the day a friend of my brothers started playing the game, I had a huge crush on this guy so I silently stalked him for the first day or two, we became great friends in game when he realized who I was, we spent so much in game time together, we were together almost everyday and he even offered to pay my sub when I just couldn't afford it but one of the most iconic memories for me is camping Lizzy with him, She spawned within 30 minutes, we kill, we get the drop 1/1 and I gave him the boots because I wanted him to like me. Anywho long story short, I since killed Lizzy 300-400 times and never got the drop, oh and I was very much friend zoned after confessing a few years later...Lizzy and I have a huge love hate relationship because of this, on one hand she gave me unforgettable memories and on the other she never did give me my boots. Thanks Lizzy ;D

What was that blue pulsating circle when you targeted the NM?
@Huntin4GamesChannel8 жыл бұрын
oh ya it's this new feature they added! selecting spells will now show the range that they'll hit by using that pulsing blue circle. You can turn it off, but I always forget its there, because if you use macros it won't show...unless maybe you use or something, I'll have to check

@dustinbaugh6016 жыл бұрын
Leaping Lizzy was bs. I camped it about 3 weeks for roughly 10-12 hours each day and often with other people in my group and the boots never dropped. Sometimes I would get frustrated with the amount of time I had wasted and would just form a party, other times just rage quit for the day.

O my gosh ok, so I did the Bubble Crab Quest in Bastok like 35597727748 times, JUST to get enough money for full Scale Male armor for my RDM, so I could be bad ass in Garlidge Ciditel. (; The quest only paid 500 a throw.

once i spent about a week farming Hoo Mjuu. No drop, and i would be dreaming about the damn zone for a while

Farming Hoo Mjuu was fun for me. I always farmed beehive chips between spawns.
@Huntin4GamesChannel8 жыл бұрын
doooo you have any beehive chips? - naaaah...just sold my 12 stack. Lol but yeah I remember liking him a lot when no one was around
@Tyjet888 жыл бұрын
+Huntin 4 Games I had alchemy leveled enough to synth the chips into beehive wax. Probably could have made more if I leveled alchemy enough to HQ reliably.
