May or may not help someone but an easy way to beat crazed gross without wave block or shield is to spam cyborg or paris with macho legs cat and king drag you may also use crazed bahamut and long ranged uber of choice to make it easier

id say the rule for continue (to me) is anything below 30% AND the Situation is in my Favor (EX: Relic Bee at 30% but 2 Professor A is still alive)

imo if you're super close to winning like below 10℅ and the stage doesnt take ten years to do (eg ctank, stacking bahamut in ccat, etc) then just retry. Chances are you can win normally. Or if its not important, or not something thats scheduled weirdly like crazeds and can be challenged anytime

Honestly ? I just started over again recently and I feel like HValk isn't that bad this early on. I tried to get treasure farming over with and rushed down all the story chapters up until ItF 2 .ItF 3 took a bit more time because overbuffed aliens, so I went for crazeds in the mean time and was surprised by how unexpectedly useful valk was ? Her stats are pretty alright for what she's worth and the random freeze chance helped a lot against cow and titan, and for some other crazeds she can deal with most peon waves decently well, namely the ducks and gorys in tank. Yes she's absolute garbage later on and if you have ubers there's even less reason to use her but man I feel like she gets too much shit sometimes. I do think some form of buffs like talents would be nice though, cutting her cooldown and cost then make her procs 100% or something would make her a pretty interesting mid range cc unit that doesn't stay for too long but makes an impact whenever she does.
