Brilliant. I did scenic carpentry for some time-building sets for theater and screen. The best carpenters were like a Tommy-they used as few measurements as possible and instead worked on references from the workpiece itself. It’s just a pleasure to watch the master in his element like this.

Privilege to watch. You know Tommy is a genius/master when he say's, all you have to do is this....brilliant. It was master builders, like your national treasure Tommy, that built the beautiful cathedrals of Europe using mostly squares, dividers and plumb bobs.

On those molding use PL 375 the 400 expands and can push it off the wall the 375 does not expand ( as much if any). PRO TIP Tom?

Genuinely wish a lot of Carpenters/Joiners took this much pride in their work, a lot nowadays would of just nailed it to the wall with no glue or just done tons of little mitre joints which would of looked awful!

check the silva brother's buildzoom. 80 grand for a bathroom and kitchen remodel in 2023 and that's just labor + materials. i don't deny it's good quality work, but i don't deny that's a steep price either...

The geometry lost me in the beginning, I would have just eyeballed it and hoped for the best. Very interesting flexible molding, I wonder if it will be stable with temperature and humidity changes.

The adhesive is key. Combined with the csulk frome painting it should be solid . That stuff can beca real challenge

That rubber looks so cheap. Tommy probably could have easily made a jig, and cost it out of plaster. Or cut it out of base molding, and used a router.
