Hunting For MK3's! ( Euro District 2023 )

First time attending The Euro District show out here in Indiana and its definitely a show ill be coming back to next year! The amount of amazing mk1s and mk2s was wild but I was super glad to finally see some mk3s holding it down!

You’re right it’s a mk5 VW Saveiro, Its one of the base models tough, and the marjoraty of the cars sold in Brasil at this time had rear drums

I Loved my Shrick VGI combined with my first set of cams TT 264/260's but then later on when I had a BVH P&P I got DRC 268's with my 3.94 R&P and wow that woke everything up. VW aka The VAG Group was lame to ever create the 8v 2 Slow. It should have been The TDI, 2.0 16v, and VR6. The 2.Slow had no place in the line up. Yes I've seen some fast turbo set ups but hell you can do that with a D16 but it has 16 valves. From what I remember reading is that VW(in their "Genius thinking)dropped the 16v b/c its power was too close to The VR6 and they didn't want it competing. I did read that there was a specific 16v 2.0 that made 170hp from the factory. So instead of dropping the 2.0 16 valve VW should have made the Euro 2.9 VR6 available worldwide and given it 200hp from the factory. It's history, and by today's standards both engines are under powered but they are still classics.
