My Bora Mk4 has also its original Keyfob batteries. My father bought the car new back then, so I'm sure the remote is pretty powersaving. The keyless go on our Skoda Octavia MK3 requiers new batteries about every 6-8 monthes.

I think think black wire is antenne. Now i far from my wagon and can't see where those 3 wires are connected, sorry🤷🏽‍♂️

The black wire is a antenna. just run it thrue the car for longer reach.

Cool i have the exact same system on my mk3 but my keyfob has a green and red button, would this also be vortex? Or difrent Brand? Keyfob is exactly the same besides the collors

european mk3s dont suffer from the sams issues as the usdm ones 👍 I too have never had issues w my electric windows, so much so that I retrofitter electric windows even to the rear doors
