Many talk about a possible game crash coming but with the move to all digital games I think physical games may go the way of classic cars and could potentially become even more expensive. Just my opinion

I completely agree. The market may dip or even ‘crash’ for a time, as most naturally do, but common sense (not to mention, the history of commerce) says the greater the scarcity = the greater the value. Games are not unique, the less there are, the more they’re worth. More importantly, nostalgia is a very powerful emotion (and financial driver)!

Physical media is on its way out. The 10th generation consoles probably will not even have disc drives. If by some miracle they do, generation 11 is guaranteed to not have them. Hang onto your physical games. They will be worth a lot one day.

I love how Resident Evil Dead Aim was negatively looked at by the gaming community back in the day, but I’ve held onto it as it was the first Resident Evil game I ever beast and had the best save room theme and is now way up in price. I’ll never sell it. But the irony is hilarious.

Love your videos, but as a 44 year old gamer who started in the Atari 2600 days, it's painful to see all these games that I had throughout the years that got left behind in the basement when my parents left their empty nest, and ones I traded in at Funcoland/GameStop for peanuts in store credit selling for hundreds nowadays.

I am in shock at the prices of some of the most common games. Especially games that sold in the 1 million+ sales in North America. (they're also overpriced on eBay, it's not just conventions)

i have the ice blue game boy pocket but screen has a little pixel rot which is common but system won't power on even though it receives power......amazing condition so maybe just swap screen and mobo?

As an Arizonan… I am upset that they moved it from August to March. In the extreme Arizona summer heat, we want a weekend expo to escape to a big air conditioned venue to go and check out some games! But they moved to to March to appease the out of towners!

Does anyone actually pay $1500 a game that's not even in its box? I remember seeing Albert's Oddessey on the Saturn for more than a thousand. I bought the import for eleven. Not eleven hundred, just eleven dollars, about one percent of the price. The reproduction game and case I bought later on still only totaled out to three or four percent.

Panic Restaurant loose for how much? BS!😡 I sold mine MIB for a $1. And Rockin' Kats for $.50 cents MIB. What I see appalling is that these games are loose! Who had these games 4 years old!🤣 Earthbound? Bro I sold mine MIB for $5. I am in shock that the EARTHBOUND set that was CIB did not take the prize. I wonder if the BARBIE set has been sold prior to us getting in or if I just did not see it. Lots of great booths and high quality items. The guy with a signed PUNCH-OUT was really cool and yes he did have some high prices but based on the quality of the items, I can't blame him and if I could have I would have bought some of those pieces to add to the collection. Nice scouting John as always, glad kiddo and I got to see you this year and John Hancock. My son is still debating on what platform to get some of your games on after all this time but that CIB Mario 64 game for the Japanese N64 called to him.

Dont buy expensive games, emulate them. Unless youre trying to get a full collection, i wouldnt bother. And seriously. No one in the future is gonna care if they can emulate it. The value is in the experience, not in owning a cartridge that doesnt have a battery that works anymore to save the game. There are better things to spend money on, like rent, or your children.
