Hi Graham, Well well well, never knew that about the silver dream racer, the film Silver dream machine, I remember it well and the song by David Essex must have been March/April 1980, I would have been at the same time when I bought , 3 records at the time The Specials, Too much to young. Madness, Night boat to Cairo and Atomic by Blondie, good times. Looks like a good day for a ride on the those narrow lanes to Pontrug / Llanrug near Caernarfon. Ride safe mate as always a great video take care

It was a great time for music wasn’t it! Something for everyone! It was a nice day but the sun was so low it did make it difficult. As I understand it, as well as the Spartan racers quite a few Barton motors ended up in sidecar outfits and were successful too. Glad you liked it. The 2 bikes used in the film were bought by Eric Buell . I don’t know what happened to them. There is a 3rd but it’s not genuine apparently. I believe the bike they crashed at the end was actually an RD250
