3 and 5 are probably my favorites. I'm not the biggest fan of 8's look, it reminds me of 4's default costume and honestly, I didn't like that one. I think also for lore reasons it would have been nice if he had eye scarring (T8) from where the grenade hit in T7.

I love that Hwoarang’s move set incorporates Baek’s style. Shows that Hwoarang has achieved masterhood and seeing Olympic TDK mixed with traditional ITF is all sorts of badassery.

Been my main since 2000 i also happen to train taekwondo in real life. Actually learned to play the game in 7 because it took that long to realize how deep and intricate tekken can be. Playing 7 online ignited my passion for the game. If I enjoy 8 I'm going to go all the way.

Yeah, his default costume in Tekken 4 was pretty awesome and worked well for Hwoarang's style, and his alternate costume worked with his being briefly conscripted into South Korea's army before Tekken 5 had him finish his service once he learned Baek was alive.

Tekken 5 Hworang was my Chillhood and my favorite

I remember seeing the arcade cabinet for Tekken 3 at a laundromat many years ago ( or it might've been a Chinese restaurant ). However, Tekken 4 was my entry into the franchise, but I remember maining Hwoarang from that point on. ( this was like around 2002 / 2003 ) It continued onto the vanilla version of Tekken 5, where I ultimately played the first 3 entries. Picked up Tekken Hybrid ( which had the PS2 Version of Tekken Tag & a prologue version of Tekken Tag 2, with the Blood Vengeance movie ) and soon after, got the full version of TTT2. My mains at that time were Hwoarang, Feng & surprisingly Zafina. But ultimately, that was my last Tekken game, as I never picked up 6 or 7. ( due to other games ) I'm definitely looking to making my return in Tekken 8, especially for my main.🇰🇷🦵

If you think about it, only Tekken 3 pronounced his name correctly. Every other game later on had some kind of mispronunciation (Tekken 5 came close, tho). We just need to hear how Tekken 8's announcer says it (Lenne Hardt is not gonna be the announcer for the game, she's only there for the reveal trailers, unless maybe an Announcer DLC in the future).
