I think chronologically, Tekken 8 takes place only 2 and a half years after Hwoarang's debut so he was only 21 in Tekken 7.

6:39 the form he does with Baek and in the Tekken 3 EMBU is an ITF Taekwon-do pattern called "Hwarang". I believe it was the first ever Taekwon-do pattern ever devised

Hwoarang, as his name And the "pattern" is called poom-sae. Poom sae are required to pass a belt test, hwoarang is for the red belt. Those are not for itf only, overall in taekwondo

@@MatthewTheUntitled In ITF Taekwon-do, it is not Poomsae, we call the "patterns" or "teul". The pattern is spelt "Hwarang" after the Hwarang of the Silla Dynasty. No idea why Tekken adds a "o" to his name, it's not how they spell it in Korean. You learn Hwarang at red belt, not to get one. You demonstrate the Hwarang pattern to get a red/black belt.
