As someone who just happened to stumble on this video in my recommendations, and as someone who has 1400 hrs with 400+ hunting horn uses among many other weapons, I still learnt a few things despite mastering the weapon Thanks for this guide. This will be my default recommendation for an advanced hunting horn guide alongside Doos' (formally known as Amadeus Mh) advanced guide. I prefer both of your guides over griffted's a few years ago

Right? I've been using the cb since I began about 150 hrs ago, and only just started branching out.. the other weapons (especially the insect glaive and HH) are so much more complicated! This isn't just because I'm used to it; even as a beginner I was confused as to why it had this reputation. People are seriously overestimating the cb's prep time and difficulty.

Very awesome guide. Glad I found it I am coming mainly from switchaxe so I am already somewhat used to having not many defensive options (so EW+5 it is) and the reach and positioning by attacking. I today made a set I initially created for switchaxe and it works quite well (at least for a beginner). It uses the kulve sleep horn with all fatty gear except kulve boots. Strategy is to wallbang and by sending the monster to sleep being able to wallbang even more. Great for gl shiny farming and provides many big openings during a down where a echo can apply more status for the next sleep proc. During the sleep openings can be also used for refreshing buffs of course. I found both the SA with its phial bursts and the HH both apply status quite well. And with buffs + kos + wallbangs one HH user can really change the flow of a fight a lot. I underestimated this weapon

Great guide! Just exactly what I'm looking for as a new HH user (SnS, GS, HBG, and Swaxe main). As of Feb. 2023, the HH and Lance are competing for the bottom of the MHW weapon usage ranking (HH at 13 and Lance at 14; both use by 1~2% of the players). As the player base for MHW is shrinking, I think it is great that those who are in the know to pass on the knowledge of good HH play, so that good HH plays don't just go extinct. It will be very sad that there will be one day, when all hunts are filled with just LS users. If you are curious, the current usage ranking for Feb 2023 (from most to least) is LS at 22%, Bow at 11%, GS at 10%, DB and CB at 9% each, IG and HBG at 7% each, Hammer, Swaxe and LBG at 5% each, SnS and GL at 3% each, and HH and Lance at 2% each.

A lot of popular video guides are either way outdated (they were made when MHW and IB first came out) or poorly made. Now a day, the usual way to learn optimal play for a weapon is to watch how speedrunners kill Fattie or AT Velk. But, this video provide instructional quality that those speedrun videos lack. Oh, I'm not convincing you to make a Lance video. I believe 0seraphic and Herny got you covered. Thanks!

Some do not do enough research or have enough experience, and yet choose to spread that misinfo to others anyway.
