What is the purpose of killing a bobcat? Just curious as to the mentality of having to kill everything you see. If you can’t or don’t eat it, why do you have to kill it? If it’s posing a threat perhaps but I doubt it was.

Bobcats will chase deer away and try and kill them. Hope this helps.

If you come from the Netherlands like i do its common that they shoot a deer here and there because of the population having no natural enemy's, but i think that is not the case with louisiana am i right? its pure nature man? there was really no reason to kill the cat, but i can see he enjoys killing by the title of the little clip ( raining cats and hogs) i am certainly no peta follower or admirer them but i find this sad.

Bilo Jaah There is human involvement in everything now. There are very few instances of pure nature anymore, and certainly none in the continental 48 states. Humans effect so much, even from miles away and even states away that it is our job to manage. But yeah he probably didn't need to kill it, but it's legal and he had a good time doing it and didn't hurt the ecosystem.

Okay man i'm sure you know far more about this then i do, i geuss you live there! Its a shame humans effect really all about everything these days.. still find it kinda disturbing that he kill such a beautyful creature just for the hell of it, or im naive and really love cats lol :) anyways thanks for the response.
