I agree why pick something of the choices their are plenty of hunting knives. Not trying to sound like a fan boy but benchmade has a whole line of hunting knives and they couldn’t put 1 benchmade in or knives of Alaska also make hunting knives just saying their were plenty of choices when you think about it that could have easily replaced some of the non hunting knives featured in a hunting knife video.

I was seeking a stainless steel blade heavy-duty hunting knife. Suddenly I saw a knife that brought my attention to it and I bought it. The knife is very good and the stainless steel blade is very sharp. The knife handle is made of pure wood and the handle is really non-slip. I am very satisfied with my purchase from Almazan Knives
@westsenkovec3 жыл бұрын
Some of them are hicarbon steels and some have leather sheets. Something I wouldn't use in a hunting knife because the knife could rust and the leather would get dirty and drenched from the inside. You want a plastic or kydex sheath so you can clean it well.

For hunting i think 2.75" to 3.5" inches is the sweet spot for field dressing. big enough to do what you need and small enough to get inside the animal and finger the knife for detail work and light to carry/pack. bigger knifes aren't necessary and can be too big to work with exception would be if you need to quarter up a very lage animal animal like moose or elk then 3.5" to 4.5" blade to help with that. I think a benchmade hidden canyon is good for most small game and deer great knife for indexing and good s30v steel or like a buck 113

well you process the animal later after you're done hunting what you need when you're in the hunt is something to kill the big game if the bullet or arrow hasn't finished the job (a 6'1/2inch dagger and up or a 13 inch and up Bowie will do) then you bring the carcass back and process it later with knives made for butchery you have hunters that just take a large piece of skin or the head and bring that back those guys are dumb their living all the meat behind then again I hunt french style where you eat what you hunted with everybody and get drunk over that and sometimes holes appeare in the ceiling so you know ....
