I guess I’ll be “THAT” guy. You mentioned Levi’s and Walmart in your video. Please understand this is just my beliefs, but I wouldn’t shop at Walmart or buy Levi’s because both companies are anti gun. Levi’s is also anti-trucker. Levi’s found out that their pants were being sold in truck stops and quit supplying to those retailers and said that truckers are not their preferred clientele. When I read that I was floored. Our truckers keep this nation at the level of comfort and convenience we’ve come accustomed to and now demand. They sure have my respect. There are apps and lists that hunters and gun owners need to look at when we’re out there spending our money. Especially these days we can’t afford to be supporting the very companies that lobby or donate to law makers that want to strip our 2A rights. Another great video DD! Keep em coming.

Being from the Midwest another option are carhartt style bibs and wool pants for winter/snow. I like the wool for stalking and the bibs for stand hunting.

I'm really happy with Duluth Trading Company Flex Firehose Pants and Alaskan Hardgear. I haven't worn bluejeans in forever. Comfort is huge at my age. The only camo I have is from Natural Gear. I like the camo pattern and there is plenty of stretch. Plenty tough, too. I use suspenders as well.

Great review here! I’ve done a lot of hiking and hunting and the Zion stretch was my go to when I went to Mt. Everest base camp in Nepal. I scout in them as well. Then I found out about the wrangler outdoor pants and I switched to them because they are just as comfortable and I can get 3 pairs for the price of 1 Zion. I just wish they came in camo too however some of the colors blend in very well outdoors.

Great review. I must admit that blue jeans are my usual pick because I really don't have any specific weather problems to deal with in my area. I guess it also matters that you are a stalking hunter and most hunting around here is tree stands, climbers, and tripods; hunting methods will dictate the types of clothes needed. And I'm totally with you on buying American!

Great review and tips for buying hunting pants. I can pretty much wear anything where I live, usually something light and comfortable. I do wear some camo but what I buy is inexpensive and cost no more than if it wasn't camo or either it was a gift.👍👍

Great video, thanks. The pants I've worn over the years are getting needlessly heavy and stiff with latest updates (among other annoying changes), so this video will come in handy the next time I start looking around. I wonder if you are planning to make a similar video reviewing boots? I am about overdue, and they don't make the ones I liked anymore, and almost everything now is with GoreTex, which I despise.

One thing about jeans -- cotton is good until it rains. Then it never dries and weighs you down. Worse if it gets cold. I know you are in California (as am I), so it's not usually a concern.

I am the Cory get guide pants and I will admit they hold up really well when you’re busting through brush and punching through thick stuff that being said the fit of them is borderline terrible they look good from a distance but the waste sucks I now use them as a shell over my obsidians in the colder months

I couldn’t agree more about not buying Chinese products, especially rifle scopes. I really enjoyed this review. In my very hot and humid weather, Carhartt 98% cotton 2% spandex works just fine. RUGGED FLEX® RELAXED FIT CANVAS WORK PANT is awesome. Especially if you wear larger than a 42 waist. And nothing say hillbilly like a good old pair of denim overalls in our 68° winter lol.

Grew up hunting on the upper washington coast. I dint think ive ever saw anybody wearing other than blue heans, except when the local outfitters carried surplus wool. I was in my 20's beefier i bought rain gear. It had an average rain fall of 144". Then going Down to the HOH it would be over 300".

Great review, Dog. What irks me about pant makers is they forget about the huskier guys and top out their waste sizes at 44, sometimes even 42. I can't even wear pants that don't have 'spenders. I realize it's hard to put a belt on a bowling ball but c'mon guys. Two more inches won't kill you.

It's not too often that I comment on videos these days. Pulled out my phone (i don't log in on my PC to prevent tracking) just to say thank you for speaking the truth regarding chinese made equipment. While the global situation is a convoluted mess of liers, cheats, & criminals, I'm trying my darndest to avoid chinese made goods entering my kit. Tough to do for some products though it's the only way we bring creation back to the US of A & discontinue fueling the rise of the communist plague...

great review very informative , and the last bit about china a big yes to that , sick of everything being made in china , dont know if you know much about australia losing our holden(GM) and ford car manufacturing and anything else we use to make here clothing included but its a very dismal state of affairs to rely on one country or another for all your imports as we are now . a boots review would be great if you havent already done one ? as i am hot blooded as well and hate wearing hot tight boots that seem to strangle the feet of blood and air

Kuiu is not made in China. All the tags say Vietnam. People need to take a close look at what they think are American products. LL Bean and Eddie Bauer comes from the Philippines and Singapore.
@desertdogoutdoors11133 жыл бұрын
Not true. Kuiu moved lots of production to China in 2013. I have current Kuiu gear made in China, Philippines, and Vietnam. Probably at the same Chinese labor camps that assemble Sitka, Patagonia, North Face, and First Lite gear.
