You did well to find the above ground sections at the western edge of the yellow line B. I enjoyed your attention to detail in the film.

Thanks very much 😎 yeh I thought the western edge was trickier to find interesting things at first definitely. I’m really glad you enjoyed watching! 🥳

3:17 Náměstí míru (grren/A line) is deeper under surface and so it has longer escalator, even the longest in central Europe.

Oh nice! 😎 thanks for adding that info 👏 I visited that one in my Green Line video 🚇 the escalator at Krizikova definitely feels pretty long!

Thanks for the video. I love the Prague transport system especially the metro (sounds daft I know 😂) Haven't been for a few months so enjoyed the 'fix' this gave me 👍.

Hi Nick, Great videos of travelling in Prague. Really appreciate the practical information. I will be travelling to Prague next month and I am confused about ticket validation. If I buy a 72 hour ticket and validate it in the first bus or metro, do I need to validate again next day when I take transportation? Or is it enough to validate the ticket one time and it covers the whole 72 hours? Thank you very much. Cheers.
@n1ckburt0n
@n1ckburt0n 11 ай бұрын
Hey 👋🏼 thanks very much for the positive feedback 😃! When you validate it the first time, the machine will print the date & time on the ticket…so then you can just use it for 72 hours from that first validation 😎 Have a great time in Prague!

lol 😂 normally people say this on the Prague Red Line video 😉 Černy Most - I always do end stations Rajska Zahrada - Quirky platform design Hurka - The metro tunnel and lake area Holešovice is on the red line so it’s in a different video 😝 & no specific reason for skipping Palmovka (the weather went a bit crazy that day lol) what’s in that area? 🤓

Prague has few terrible ugly bus stations and you literally visited all of them. 😀 Fortunately, this terrible housing estate from 90s (no, it's not communist, it's younger) with near bus station Černý Most will be renovated in next years and that hole will be filled and it will be everything on ground level again, at least that's the plan, I hope they will really do that because everyone hates that place and near shopping center is also crazy, that hall is that long that you walk literally kilometers when you want to get from main enterance to the cinema and back. These 90s experiments didn't age well, not only that you will miss your bus trying to figure out how to get down there, but also it attracts a lot of weird people who stay there and bother you when you wait for the bus there. 😀 People hated communist blocks that much that after 1989, they changed plans of these housing estates and aded more complicated buildings, weird roofs and other complicated overdesigned stuff to make it less looking like "commblocks" but at the end, it looks even worse and people are afraid to go there. This anticommunist anticommblock trend in 90s was totaly stupid, they were supposed to finish those housing estates as it was originally designed during communism, people hated it, but it's really better than what they were doing in 90s. Zličín is similar case, the worst thing is that this is what tourists see the first after they get out of the airport, we are not ok with that and we complain about that all the time, but politicians care about other things than about bus station at the end of metro line. PS: you always meet some weirdo in Černý Most, that's a real Černý Most experience

I think I needed you as my “researcher” for these videos 🤓 thanks so much for all the detail…the insider knowledge is fantastic 😃 I definitely felt like Černy Most was quite rough (particularly compared to end stations on the red line/Line C). Zličín I didn’t feel was as bad, not that glamorous but functional, maybe I was just happy cos I got pizza there though! 😂 🍕

Proč by někdo šel po tom tubusu mezi černakem a rajskou to fakt nechapu když tam jezdí metro to je uplna picovina. Tohle bych jako prazan v zivote neudelal. Also you have completely missed the nicest mall in europe on namesti republiky xddd

I translated the Czech part of your comment, but the translation seems a bit inaccurate I think lol it sounded a bit rude…let’s hope not😆…I’ll try to answer what I assume it’s saying. Which stations I walk between & which I take the metro between, is sometimes planned & sometimes just a last minute decision. Here I spent quite a while doing the video intro, as the shots looked a bit weird due to the weather. I decided to get the train just to save time really, the yellow line is quite long and my original intention at that point was to film this all in one afternoon…which ended up changing later due to the weather. Yeh the mall I didn’t include because they get a bit boring I think. There’s a few in my videos from Prague/Sofia/Lisbon. From the KZbin analytics, it seems people don’t find shopping malls interesting and attention on the video dips. 🤓 Sometimes it’s just about what makes the video flow better. I cut quite a lot out of this one. Appreciate the feedback though 😎😃
