thats why my favorite hunting channel is the hunting public those guys are true hunters. they consistently shoot big bucks from the ground with a bow which is not easy to pull of one bit

Well said and explained. Public land hunter myself, but I do still have a standard for myself. Hunters can take any deer they want, I will never say anything bad . If that deer makes yoy happy so be it. I have hunted with Outfitters myself. I know the game. Repeat clients, a little extra $. Or celebrities . They will get the best spot. In the past I would stress out not taking a nice buck, put unessary stress on myself. No more, I enjoy the my hunts , and let the season write the script. Thanks for always telling it like it is.

Duh, find what works for you and stick with it. I enjoy the hunt shows on tv and online. Anybody that says they don’t like hunting shows are basically haters and jealous…PERIOD.

For years on public land I took the first legal deer ,buck or doe,for meat.Then a doc said the meat caused my kidney stones.Well knock on wood ,no stones since I stopped eating deer meat,5yrs ago.Getting kind of sick of fish and chicken.Great video.

You guys could do a lot more soft sales just as you did in this video when you sprayed your boots when scent killer that doesn’t work 😂 that would be better than the harder sales we see. No, all jokes aside, I appreciate the transparency. People like the the Do it yourself hunter, the hunting public, catman outdoors, the hunting beast, whitetail adrenaline, etc make it tough for guys like you to not be transparent. I rarely ever watch your show anymore or anything on the outdoor channel. It’s jus not applicable to me. You guys methods work on the 1% of the population than can afford a large piece of property. Most guys are how you described your public land hunting adventures: every 3 years you may kill a 3 year old 120ish deer. That’s truly an accomplishment. What’s sad is the kids who watch hunting shows on tv are so misled. They think evolved 3 day harvest is going to lure a big buck..when in reality they are going lure coons, crows, and maybe a doe or two. Anyway, thanks again for opening up about what most of us have known for years.

Thank The Lord someone comes out with the truth! Excellent video. I love to hunt. I can't stand most of the hunting shows and alot of the hunting industry. Scam after scam after scam. Shame on them for trying to take advantage of those among us who are new and less knowledgeable. Again, I'm a avid hunter and live to be in the woods.

I can really appreciate his honesty especially regarding himself. That being said if you need that explained to you, you've got more money and time than brains or need to kill a buck. The one thing he failed to mention is property. You may say well alot of these guys and girls hint there own property. They have multiple farms Taylor made for not only keeping deer and people out but holding deer there. Big bucks are known to have a core area as they mature, if you have 1000 or more acres those deer may seldom if ever leave your property and that's how you can afford to name a buck and get 'history' w it. Theres only 2 things that really matter in the growing and patterning deer game and that's time and money. That applies to almost everything in life. W enough money you can buy enough property to encompass a deer heard, if you have limited property and resources but enough time, you'll be able to pattern them to a time you can kill them. Everything else is buying those precious few seconds when it's out of or in range.

I don't watch any t.v. hunting shows anymore. They have turned hunters like one of my young friends at work into what I call him, a "camera hunter". A camera hunter hunts cameras instead of deer. Looks at pictures real time on his phone and loses all confidence when the deer have any drop in appearance. Instead of listening to me with 20 years of food plot experience, he calls a company 3000 miles away for advice. It's all about "management." In this management there's all these gimmicks from online and tv. Like the deer are already coming to corn but mixing it with kool aid to make them come more. Don't do that! Doesn't listen. Then I hear daily reports on how the deer aren't showing. There was only one tom on his property this spring. How does he know? The cameras. Only one pic therefore only one turkey. I sent him a pic of one on the ground dead. He just moved onto 100 acres and as soon as he does the grandiosity begins. He starts calling around to lease the land that butts against him. It's lunacy. In his mind just that fast he has to manage a large tract to have all the deer on him. He wants that Ohio monster in the piedmont of NC. I told him stop watching the cameras and tv all year. It's never going to happen. Full indoctrination. I've stopped trying.

I'd like to see all of you guys come down to Florida and South Alabama and South Georgia and do hunting shows and kill big bucks. I like to see anybody do it consistently. There ain't no such a thing as pattern and deer in the deep Southeast not unless you have thousands and thousands of acres of private land with feed put out for them.

almost all just a show -no hunting just shooting-never can understand '''hunting'' out of a box over feed-or planning a hunt by trail camera photos-people are missing out using your witts to outsmart an old buck loosing a lot of the challenge of the hunt
