To be fair there also aren't really Wisents in Germany (Exept for one group of 10 animals that has been breed in captivity) but in COTW they populate the Forrest like if it was 1096.

Whitetails have been brought to Europe and in certain areas there are huntable populations of them. I can’t say if they are in Romania though.

White-tailed deer came to Europe in the 1880's (From the USA), but during WWI they got let go into the wild. So about 1000 of them are around Southern Poland and the Czech Republic. I think the only place you can actually hunt them is in Finland (I think they come from Canada). No known sighting of a white-tail in Romania, but you can find Red Deer. @BobusCesar well this is trueish. I think the last Wisent (European Bison) was shot in Germany in 2017. If I remember the date correctly. They now live in Poland and you can hunt them, but it will cost you about 8,000 Euros depending on a few factors. You can only kill the old males.

Regarding your comment about about the lack of hit animations on animals in this game, just to be fair in COTW the hit animations are over exaggerated, especially with bows. In real life (especially big game) animals will flee like they do in this game with little to no indication they were hit. Arrows don’t knock over animals as though they were hit by a car like they do in COTW. That is one of my gripes with COTW (bow hunting in particular). There is no way in hell a arrow will send a moose flying the way it does in game. If you watch real hunting videos you will see how over exaggerated COTW hit animations are. I’m a huge fan of COTW, but the impact (or lack of impact) in this game is more true to life. Spine shots are another story.

COTW is light-years ahead of this game. Just by looking at the open world engine the graphics, the animations etc..

That blood is totally invisible to me.. I'm colour blind (badly) maybe they could implement something for colour blind players. I have Hunting Sim 1 and this looks very similar.

Red-Green colorblindness sucks when it comes to tracking blood. It's why I only take double shoulder shots IRL. Literally impossible to see the blood.

The lodge aspect of the game seems really cool and I think they did a good job with the models. I would like to see future COTW games adopt a main lodge idea where you start everything from instead of just trophy lodges. Also, big + on doggo companion. I don't even care if they do anything just having a good boi to follow along with you would be sweet in COTW.

It might not be on COTW levels, yet. But you get the dog and the lodge from the start of the game without paying extra microtransactions ;) I think this game has potential and competition in the hunting genre is always good. Let'S see how they improve the gameplay over time and how the hunting areas look like.

What really makes this cool is that they're using real life weapons and clothing. I got a Sako rifle myself and they are exceptional rifles. Finnish quality at it's best.

I feel this is a pretty weak effort for a 2020 game, I'm going to be honest. COTW has it's faults, but it's 100x better than this looks. I'm honestly disappointed watching this, looks like Classic with HD textures.

some nice ideas in there, but i'll stick with COTW.. by the looks of this..this is not the game for me. Also I absolutely hate the hit indication when you shoot stuff the red thingy going on in the crosshair. Lets just hope COTW "borrows" some of its ideas, regarding the dog though

Yeah. Honestly here’s the deal. First off, fun game. I liked it a lot actually, will certainly play through and fill the lodge. Second, I think on the switch it’s gonna be really fun. And lastly, the more this game succeeds, the more competition COTW has, and potentially more reason for them to get their s**t together. Honestly I hope it goes over well, I see nothing but good for everyone if it does

@@Flintergaming I totaly agree on the competition part, competition keeps everyone sharp and on their best game. This probably isn't a bad game but 1 hunting game is enough for me, considering a 40+hr a week job and other games that need playing (Bannerlord among others) so I choose the one that suits me most on the platform that suits me best (PC/COTW) I did realy love what I saw with the dog. to be fair, I would love to see the option to actualy track... without the flashy tracks in COTW. but its not a real possibility. The dog this game gives you definately would solve that issue. If that dog would have his own skill tree, and maybe a bond with master mechanic that would make things even better. To you good luck filling yet another lodge :) and happy hunting to you, from the Netherlands.

​@@modz_legothelizard4958 tbh since there are several fishing games I would prefer them to concentrate on making the very best hunting game they can make. The mechanics are quite different COTW is about hunting trophy animals. The same with survival mechanisms, like eating/crafting the game is not about that it takes place in hunting reserves not a survival situation. I wouldnt mind a jungle or australia/newzealand reserve map with new trophy animals to hunt, and more animal species /toys/weapons on the existing maps but going away from that main concept would be fishy and not improve the main game.

Why would you add fishing to a hunting game generally speaking I dont know any hunters other that the mountain folk that live off the land would set out on a hunting trip and decide to go fishing instead just doesn't make sense to make 1 game with both activities now if it was an outdoor simulator that might work but a game designed around hunting with a Hunting or hunter or hunts in the name is designed to be just a hunting game

I find it interesting that you can hunt grizzly bears in Colorado. As a native of the state, I can tell you that they are not found there, as the last one, a female, was killed by a hunting guide, Ed Wiseman, in September 1979. She attacked him, and he stabbed her with an arrow, fatally wounding her. Still, great video, Flinter.

7:40 ....in harghita county(romania) there aren't any white tail...only roe deer....i'm like 100 km away from it...and the weight definitely matches a roe deer...si idk what is up with it...hopefully they'll modify it until release

This game is not at the same caliber/quality as COTW, BUT.... it has things that COTW should have like : The ability to have more varieties of hunting rifles//brand names and be able choose a particular bullet caliber on the rifle you chose, it gives you that alternative... It already has TURKEYS.( How long we have been asking for COTW to implement that??,,, 3 years now ?? ).... It comes with your initial hunting dog ( How far back have we been asking that from COTW ?? )......The finer details on the rifles and weapons its far better than COTW... Texture quality, Hunting simulator 2 still has to improve more and other things.

Pretty sure when you shoot the animal and it is red, it is losing blood, yellow is when it slows down, white is when it is not wounded

I saw ‘threaded’ on one of the guns, so I’m guessing supressors are a thing? Been missing that & dogs on COTW. Cool that they have real guns on this, like real brands and models. Also love that you can choose calibers, although I hope you have to buy a new gun for a new caliber, unless It’s an R8 or 404 or something. Still looks abit.. off, versus COTW. A hybrid between the two would be awesome. Keep the vids comming!

I deer hunt a lot and a good shot if the deer doesn’t drop in it’s track the blood trail is EASY EASY and can look like u noisy drug a paint bucket through they actually got the frequency of blood really close to realistic for a good lung shot

I must admit; this game looks very good. Many systems CoTW should look into, but the recoil is little to none, walking looks wonky and some of the models I’ve seen other places. With some TLC and better animations and animal care it would look very good and definetly surpasses HS 1. Impressed but it could be better
