It was beautiful in Indiana on Sunday, you picked a heckuva day to get out and whack one. I live about 20 miles south of Indy. I spent a lot of time over in your area when I went to VU in the late 80s. I’ve done a lot of camping at Shakamak, and hunting the B-1 bottoms of Mini Ha Ha. You’re in a neat area.

Chris Barr I work in Vincennes almost every day and live 10 minutes from Shakamak. This is definitely a nice area as far as fishing and hunting opportunities.

Nice buck and shot placement! I have long said for years that some of the biggest deer of the year are taken during the opening archery season. People here in Tennessee don't believe me when I tell them how big the deer are back home in Indiana, partially because of bag limits. Down here, you can shoot three doe a day and three bucks a season, but the deer are nowhere as big here.

@@bellbucksnbeards Yeah, me too. If I can get two deer a season, I'm good. That's plenty of meat for the family. I have seen 4 pointers back home that are bigger than some of the 6 and 8s I have seen here. I hope to get back home here soon and do some hunting and get one of the big boys.

Tyler Stockrahm Thanks! That was a NAP Spitfire 2 blade. I’ve always shot fixed but I would say this sold me on mechanicals the way it opened him up and dropped in sight.
