There’s a difference, people who shoot stuff for fun and make bad shots and don’t care, but there’s people who genuinely just make bad shots sometimes but try to finish the animal as quickly as possible. You have respect for it, but that’s just how it is, not every shot is exactly how you want it

Which is why a lot of weapons are banned for hunting(the weapon must be able to drop the animal where it stands, so it does not take a single step) and you must pass a shooting test on moving target every x years here, or lose your hunting license....like how you can lose car license, have to pay and redo the entire course again

in sweden you could get jail if you are hunting and injures an animal without putting it down as soon as possible, it is your responsibility to track it down fast and put it out when and if you failed your shoot.. very resonable in my opinion

This rifle can actually be pretty handy to take with you if you’re camping or something and dont want to bring an entire compressor or handpump. Or to let your nephew shoot at some cans because you don’t wanna risk him dropping your 2k FX 😅

Yeah, this rifle is made more for people who don’t hunt often/shoot often but rather go out once or twice a week if even that. For $199 it’s honestly not that bad of a gun and some reviews say they love how accurate it is for the price point. It beats spending $400-600 on a PCP you’d take out and use once a month

shooting pellets too fast can make them less accurate. this is because fast pellets create problems in the air that make them fly poorly. also, the gun's barrel might not be made to handle pellets going that fast, which can also make them less accurate.

The diabolo shape stabilizes itself with the drag created by the skirt, sort of like a shuttlecock in badminton. When you shoot it too fast it messes up the drag stabilization and causes inaccuracy

At slower speeds, the pellet’s centre of gravity is closer to the front of the pellet, and the centre of pressure (airflow) is further aft. That makes it fly straight. When you get closer to the speed of sound, the centre of pressure moves forward, that makes it more unstable. At super sonic speeds, the C of G and the C of P will actually swap places, thus causing the pellet to fly backwards. Obviously very unstable and inaccurate. Hope this helps.

That possum was tough. I've been looking at this rifle, but just can't commit to the expense of the nitrogen cartridges. They should also sell a refillable cartridge for it as an option, so you could fill it with a pump, compressor or scuba tank. Then I would probably be willing to add one to the collection.

You could try 10 grain knock out slugs for that 177 since its pretty piwerful. 1000 fps for knock outs us a good speed. My crown is shootung 13 grains at 1017fps flawless
