I woke up this morning thinking about Huntington and Marshall University. I ended up making a cup of coffee and playing the movie. On November 14, 1970 I was a 20 year old serving in Vietnam when I heard the news and at that time all I could do was pray for the people of Huntington, although I had never been there. In 2006 I was working for a company doing work in Charleston and I heard alot about Marshall and like many when the movie came out I cried many times, just like I did today. On November 14, 2020 it will have been 50 years so my heart and prayers still go to the city of Huntington and Marshall University.

I was five years old when the crash happened and can remember seeing it on the news. It's one of my very first memories. I heard my parents, who are both MU grads along with my brother, sobbing. I spent the better part of four semesters there before quitting college and going to work for the company that I recently retired from, so we all bleed green. I was enrolled there when MU had their first winning season fourteen years later. It's one of those things that stick with you for life. It's great to see how far the school has come, not just athletically. Good memories have overcome sad ones.

great movie. I am not even from Virginia and it had me emotional at a couple of scenes. One of my favorite movies. Very touching. I lost it when Matthew started crying in the locker room.

That is Keith Morehouse, today's "Voice of the Herd". His father, also Marshall's sportscaster, died in the crash. Keith was portrayed in the movie as a young boy, which he was at that time, who hung out at the stadium watching football practice.

The interviews with the widows of Rick Tolley and Nate Ruffin were so poignant. RIP to all of those who died in the crash (a day forever etched in my mind), as well as Nate Ruffin and Jack Hardin. Been away from Huntington too long...I want to go home. @johnnyfive22 WEST Virginia. But that's okay...we get that all the time.

The pain doesn't go away but it sort of turns into a lot of other things too.

well done movie through and through. I went to school with MU students in England they were noisey but smart as the dickens. They love to party late.

@4wheelerDJ"Who is that being interviewed at 4:42?" That's the REAL Reggie Oliver :D He is standing next to Arlen Escarpeta who plays "Reggie Oliver" in the movie :D I chuckled at how much taller the Real life Reggie was compared to the actor who played him in the movie! ;) hahahahaha
