Tbh this is what I loved about Justice League and Justice League unlimited. They added romance to the shows without it being corny and over complicated. Also how characters started relationships without some corny similarity like “were the same both our families were killed, so lets gets married person I just met.” They also moved away from some of the traditional relationships. Like instead of hawk girl and hawk man. it was hawk girl and jon. And instead of batman and cat women. It was batman and wonder women. (Which I think the comics should do instead of the whole wonder women loves super man but he’s with lois crap. Theres literally hundreds of other characters they could choses from male or female.)

Actually if you notice most relationships they showcased were females stronger than their partners. And the men were Intellectually more potent. This is likely due to the production team projecting. This is why you developed the goth girl trend later on as the men projected thier desire for the coworkers. It makes for good storytelling cause it came from a place of passion where all good art starts. I dont know why wonder woman and superman became a thing though. I think it is more formulaic or the dream power couple career women dream of. And with lgbtq commubity dominating the arts we are going to see really bad realtionships being formed. That either feel forced or reflect extremely unstable emotions that the general pop will find annoying.
