Joseph tried everything, low side, high side but we just could not get out of turn 2 with any momentum. Like you said after Fan Fund race, no grip. Still, I love the enthusiasm the HTF team maintains. There's no cryin' on this team! 👍👍👍👍

I like how most of the people in these comments have NEVER won a late model race let alone EVER raced with competition on the caliber that Hunt The Front is racing against currently 🤦🏼‍♂️ Yall need to understand without the financial backing and years of experience/r&d like the other teams have these guys are bringing a knife to a gun fight. Nothing but respect for HTF for showing up and giving it their all when the odds are heavily stacked against them 🏁 keep digging you guys, things will turn around for you!

Funny how you just contradicted yourself by criticizing others that have no experience then praising the for having no experience lol! I couldn't agree more they seem very timid and just like after qualifying when they were 27th. He was like ateast we didn't do like Owen's and hit the wall. Well Owen's was trying stuff and at the end of the night they usually have it figured out. They have got to get on the wheel or stay home at the weekly shows. The driver needs to trust his team more. They will give him info and he and he acts like I don't care what u said I'm doing all I can do. I would love to see them up front in the national events. Instead of a filler car in the back of the big show.

I have told you guys this several times, my sister-in-law DAD is the main man at Bilstein shocks ( Bill Stine) however you want to say it, I have been talking to him about you guys and he would love to meet you guys to talk about shocks! Let me know how and when he can get ahold of you guys so that he can compare the difference in the shocks you are running and his... possible sponsorship! let me know if you are interested??? I know he works with Jimmy Owens a good bit, plus many many others!! I told him you are running Penske to my knowledge! He has been in the dirt car racing with Bilstein for decades and knows his stuff very well!!! His name is Jim Hiland, he is always at the tracks collecting data and giving advice, very hands on guy!! May have to set your entire car up different than usual, but if it means winning races, that is a good thing, right??? Have not seen a single shock guy in your pits the entire time i have been watching you guys race or at the shop with the weight scales helping set up the shocks for a race!! Might be a good idea!!

They need to RETHINK their setups in a bad way NEW chassis are built with a BALANCED setup in mind they are pushing the MC of the car 8 to 16 inches left of the center line ! To get the LF to work so you can SQUARE the REAR more and ROTATE not race SLIDEWAYS as old school LM do!!! A hole lot of TOP TEAMS know this and that is why you see HTF getting WAXED OFF THE TURN

When I was working with Kelly Shryock, the way he explain it. Is you need to at least pass one or two cars in the heat race. Getting yourself in the redraw, or as close as possible. You also want to take into consideration, you don't necessarily need to win a heat race. Because in some instances you are in a better position if you start fourth and finish second. The idea is taking smaller bites of the pie in the heat race. Then getting a little more in the redraw. So you are working smarter, not harder...

total weight is NOT as important as balance. I have seen cars 200 lbs over the min but much more driveable esp on the slick tracks. weight needs to be up high to promote side bite, rear to promote forward bite. if you aren't sliding the tires, less heat and last longer.

I was at both nights so far and went and got a t-shirt, cheering for him everytime he goes out there but God it's so hard to watch when he looks so fast on the high side but he decides to go low side

The car looks like it can't get off of turn 2 at all--high or low. No traction?

So frustrating watching him go in so low and come out so low, when he looks so fast on the mid and high lines.

Habit, formed early on....His Qualifying at Cedar Lake showed that he Can drive it in and turn without letting off ( where he looses 0.1 second every time).....He can do it, and he will, when he realizes that old habits are what is delaying his success.....

Says no grip but he’s running the bottom where there isn’t any. They looked best in the dash running high but he’d do it for a corner and go back middle low

Correct the bottom part of the track is for lapped cars.

Right but it definitely isn't due to any lack of effort. These guys are working their asses off to be competitive.

It seems like getting drive off like these main guys like Owens and Davenport they get way better drive and traction

Back when I raced modified’s, and we ran 9” gears, my dad would always go with a lower gear on a track like this. We normally ran a 67 or 83 gear, but he would go with a 43 or 29 so I wouldn’t blow the tires off, and still be able to get grip on the somewhat tacky line.

And use the torque that you had in the engine not just HANG the RPM half way down the STRAIGHT

i was wondering why not try that awhile ago. take some wheel speed out of it maybe it will help the chassis with the lack of forward grip. i was also wondering if pulling a bunch of timing out of the engine on a slick track was a thing in dirt racing like it is in drag racing.
