Maybe, but neither of the cars that they were in in this video were Longhorn. So that is kind of irrelevant for this one. Unless Longhorn has any insider info for 28 Special chassis then they are SOL. Any issues with Jesse's car they just call the fella up at Capital. Joe has him on speed dial usually.

@@TonyWilhoitGood point but not hard to believe they switched since Longhorn was basically winning everything at the time and they probably had a sponsor whispering sweet nothings in their ears as well strongly suggesting the move. And lets not forget WAY back in the day before they even had a Capital and was still driving the 4 Sale car and the yellow and purple car, Joseph said he BADLY wanted a XR1 (I believe it was and stand corrected if I am wrong) at the time. They just ended up getting a honey of a deal on a Capital and thus that story began. So they have went from 28 Special originally (Now the simulator in Dads shop I believe since gone), to MasterSbilt, to wanting the XR1, to Capital to Longhorn and Capital to now possessing another 28 Special.

Can teams run data acquisition on practice nights? Some sensors on shock travel, g meter and pair that up with TPS, maybe a brake sensor you’d have some serious idea of good vs bad setups, what the track is doing and whether changes actual help the car corner faster etc..

They worked with him a long time ago on Chassis and it worked out I guess. Plus some other things to over the years. Dirt daddy had one back around 21 I believe and had success in it. So they asked these guys if they would be willing to try it. And clearly they said yes. And to me it doesn’t look too bad of a race car. But Joey did say it best at the end of the vid. They have old tires and the track wasn’t the greatest. Good tires, better track prep for the race. That will be the true test of that chassis

Not claiming to know anything, but they went from a Mastersbuilt to a Capital to a Longhorn in fairly quick succession, and it really seems that these chassis (and shock combos) are drastically different from each other, on top of those factors they have the most eyes on them mounting extra (likely not wanted) pressure
