Half or more of them aren't their usual "up-front Hollywood Undead" production, but it sounds like what they would do when given the prompt to write in the individual styles. Imo this album is the most underrated one ever. There isn't a single song that I skip while listening to it, yet it only peaked at #125 in the charts. (For comparison: Swan Songs was #22, American tragedy was #4, notes from the underground #2)

That's because their management company didn't promote it nearly as much compared to when they were signed on a label. Also Billboard charts reflect sold albums, but most people nowadays get their music through Spotify, Apple, etc.

Band has confirmed there's no particular story, they just felt the best way to get what they wrote out was in two albums, since most labels cap albums at 10-11 songs and Vol.2 has been tentatively confirmed as 11 tracks, so that's 20 songs in one year
