I'm not at all used to hearing this song in the radio.The station I listen to does play some Linkin Park but Lost isn't one of the songs on the playlist. But last night, as I was just getting ready for the night.. it came on. I sat there on the bed, just listening, and after the initial gut punch, mouthing the words from start to finish. They were REAAAAALLY big back in Hybrid Theory/Meteora/M2M times here in Germany. Like probably one of the most popular rock groups at the time (although there were bigger genres, but Linkin Park was one of the very few rock groups that actually made it into the mainstream). "Impactful" doesn't quite do it justice man. Half my wardrobe was Linkin Park merch as a teenager :D

It's impossible not to break while listening to Chester's voice in this track, seriously... there's something about this song that makes me feel soothed and warmed. It's hard to hold back the tears but yeah... Hearing this man sing again gives me off an extremely comforting sensation, you know? It sounds like the legend has returned to the world and still missed, is enchanting us with these masterful pipes, doing his own best at his very worst every day. I was legit surprised when "Lost" came out, really wasn't expecting this to be officially released to celebrate Meteora's 20th anniversary and my reaction once I figured it out was priceless. No disrespect towards the whole band and especially Chester Bennington, but this song becomes one thousand times sadder when it's sung in the shower, the water falling as you sing every line feels like tears streaming down the face. Linkin Park never ceases to amaze their fans presenting such mysteriously superb releases. This, Fighting Myself, More The Victim, Healing Foot, Resolution and many others included on Meteora's new remastered version reach the highest peak of awesomeness this planet has ever witnessed in life before. Thank you Chester and all the members for everything you've provided us fans. I repeat: Chester's voice is magical and must be remembered anyday, anytime, anyway and anywhere.
