so..... getting back to it....
in this video i show you an in depth tutorial on
how to remove your w204 front door panel and.....
in doing so.... access all the different components behind the door panel and...
also give you a brief description of how to remove all the other parts behind the door panel itself
such as....
tweeters..mine have been replaced already hence why you see its different and i dont remove them ...because i have hardwired them in...
the speakers 6.5" dome speakers which are riveted on..so must be drilled out in order to remove them ....
the door latch
the power window motor
the door sensor
the window power button switch panel
the door light
led door handle light
door trims
seat adjustment buttons
lock.unlock buttons
and even the boot release
i also forgot to mention that you can also access the side mirror assembly from here by removing the t30 torx bolt that secure the side mirror onto the car frame... where the tweeters are located
all of these can be accessed once you remove your door panel and i give you a brief description on how you can remove certain parts/components if you ever needed to service them or replace them.....so be sure to check it out!!!
and the most important note is to watch carefully how to remove the top corner plastic push clips which secures the door panel to the door frame ...i myself had so much trouble removing this one clip...and you may also have the same frustrating problem,,so i take the time to show you exactly what this push clip looks like ..refereed to as the "H" clip because it looks like the capital letter "H"...be sure to pay close attention on how to remove it... hopefully it will save you from destroying it the way i did the first time round i had to remove it... there are 2 specific way to remove it.... but i show you a way that just may may allow you to save it and not have to go through what i did to remove this.... annoying clip...ive seen alot of ppl struggle with this clip...and after removing it..you can decide whether you need it ....because you already have enough clips to secure the door panel to the frame... meaning you ownt need this particular clip anymore....just mah 2 cents...

Hi Mikeyz Excellent video thanks. Regarding the tricky "H" clip, on my W204 the clip was installed 90 degrees anticlockwise to the clip illustrated in your video. It took we a while to suss it out. First timers like me - beware of this possibility. After market parts suppliers should prick up their ears and consider supplying replacement clips.

The best video by a huge margine about unmounting the door panels :) Any chance you remember how that ridiculous clip is called so I could buy one, because I have a little rattle on one of the back doors since I had my back windows tinted, and I suspect they have screwed it up when unmounting as I see how specific and complicated it is. I had bought new clips for them to change while unmounting anyway so that shouldnt be the problem , might be that ridiculous one u spent 10 min explaining :D Cheers!

📰Just a heads Up: My 2009 C350 driver side seat switch does not illuminate. Bought a set of leather door panels off a 2014 W204 c300 4Matic. Passenger side had a memory switch still in the door that lights up but doesn't move the seat. Probably need the memory module and unclear if there is additional plug, coding etc? I can confirm from 2013 on that seat switches do illuminate if one finds cheap parts.

Great video, are the tweeter covers on your car OEM? And the carbon fiber trim piece, is it OEM as well? Or is it wrapped? I like that way they look and would like to have them on my car. I have a 08 C300 Luxury rwd.

hey buddy welcome to the channel and thanks for the comment ...the tweeter covers are just add ons not oem or anything .. and trim is carbon fiber wrapped tweeter covers are from aliexpress n I got the trims wrapped by a shop alot of ppl are doing it themselves but I wasnt comfortable doing it so I paid about 200 to 250 for the job including centre console also and back door trims

hey buddy welcome to the channel and thanks for taking the time to watch my video... much appreciated.... in all honesty yes it would be somewhat very similar... just a longer door friend.... just take a look around for similarities and im sure you can figure out how to remove it mate.. if u have any trouble feel free to ask ...glad to help..look for the torx screws that hold the door frame in place and then u can start to pry it off im very certain its very similar friend.... give a go ....

As WIS says, I think the best way to remove that expansion clip is as following: Pull the pin out with suitable pilers. Then turn that pin 90 degrees and press into the expansion clip until it arrests. Now that two tab must be released. Then take out that expansion clip with plier. Done!

I heard that but i'm not really clear how to would be done in person. You are to remove the inner pin, turn it 90 degrees then put it back in fully? This will release the tabs or do you have to do this all in one motion. While pulling out you turn the pin?

Wow! Thank you! This works so nicely I facepalmed myself for struggling so much before. It's even easier than the pick method. Yes, pull out pin, turn pin 90 deg, push in, until you feel it lock and pull out with the pliers again. Came out so easy after a hour of messing around with that stupid clip. Now getting the pin out of the clip (it's locked in a bit) does take some force but much easier to deal with since you have it in your hands, ie, use an allen key to push it out from the other end.

@Alexandru Marian Popescu usually 1 rivett tool has 3 sizes on it .. just make sure u buy the right size rivet..take one and compare it to the rivet your buying..take a measurement of the rivet before u drill it out ... I'm pretty sure it's just the radius of the rivet

sure... its quite easy but i can do that ... it does involved cutting the factory tweeters off...but all things are good .... sounds really clear now....i basically just grabbed a pair of tweeters and then cut the factory ones off and then used the new ones and wired them in using speaker connections...i will do a video asap

@@karim_beats ye no other weay around it unless you can find a female connector for the mercedes plug ..but cutting the factory wires isnt too bad ..as long as you make a secure connection..i only swapped the tweeters not the 6.5" woofers in the door.... unless i decide to build an abs like speaker plate to replace the factory ones it wont ever sound near as good.... merc use the door as a box and bounce sound arouond to give descent mids and bass ...hence why it sounds pretty good..so if your going to replace the woofers its a must that you cover all the exposed holes and use a similar speaker plate to cover the entire speaker mount hole...therefore using your door as a bass box kindof...if u know what i mean nd also you have to ofcourse buy the appropriate female plugs for the factory speaker plug therefore saving you from cutting the plug on the woofers... just one less job to do ....

hmm I haven't seen it ... but in order to remove the arm rest u would have to seperate the top from the bottom and cut the plastic rivets off so it will seperate .. much like how you fix the door handle if broken ... that's how u would remove arm rest and then u can do whatever u needed to do... hope that makes sense... once u remove the door panel u can pretty much see what u need to do to remove the arm rest..

There is no water collecting in the door itself but my garage said that it was probably a membrane inside which was leaking water. They were going to do the work but now cannot because of lockdown. I was going to have a go myself. Your video about the steering lock and starting problems was so good that I managed that, no problem, thought I might do the same here.

@@amcdonal86VT they just need to be drilled out and u can use screws after to refit them i believe ... it wont be hard to take apart or put together just take your time and itll be ok

@@MIKEYZVLOGZ I just did this. You basically drill out the wax/melted tabs with a 1/4" drill bit. Then you need to find very short #8 screws and drill a thin pilot hole before installing. Use washers as well. It was a pain in the butt because even 1/2" length screws are too long and went through to the other side of the vinyl. In this case I just removed the screws and added more washers stacked on top of each other.

unfortunately i havent had the issue just yet ,,but i will most likely do the video once i have the issue ..but yes gonna have to melt the tabs and then use self tapping screws to replace them all i believe . i watched a video about that tooi cuz i like to be prepared for any faults and mishaps...you;ll be ok its not as hard as ppl think..just annoying cuz u gotta cut or melt the plastic tabs... ive seen where ppl use screws instead to put it back together

@@MIKEYZVLOGZ dremmel looks the fastest and easiest to cut the melted tabs. Can drill them out or cut them but not goid success stories tho. I don't know about melting them lol they are melted tabs already. There is replacement kits with handle pin and 20 screws. I just purchased one unfortunately lol.

@@jasonb4196 even easier is to use just pair of cutting pliers with a sharp point . used just for cutting wires and u can cut the top opff the melted tabs and it will come out easily no need for any sort of power tool ..then u just use the screws provideed to screw it back together...still thinking about it

I found a good deal on a used door panel. Problem is that the upper tab is broken. They did not remove the pin and broke it. You discuss this at the "2:10" mark. Would you suggest cutting the old panel and just glue it on?

have u opened door inside to check have u removed the front panel ? make sure u check the safety isn't on .. sometimes it's as simple as using a screwdriver and pressing on the latch that catches the door when u close it ..I've seen this many times I the wire came off the door handle it would be very loose and floppy .. is that the case ?

Best way to remove that black plastic clip from door is take that middle part off and turn it 90 ° and put it pack and take whole clip away. 👌 no need pick tool... I fighting with pick tool 15 minutes first time 😁

I'll get it for u once I finish work..if u watch my video on the H clip replacement I used a 2 dollars push clip and a screw with a washer to replace it ..so u never have to worry about that h clip ever again ... if u think about it that h clip isn't compulsory for the door to be secured and remain intact u could do without it even..as the 2 t30 torx screws hold the door in place

@@MIKEYZVLOGZ its one easy trick to remove them. But not work for me. Pull out central clip and rotate 90° and push it back. Now easy remove whole rivet-clip from the door. Left doorpanel- I have removed central blocker and this not work. With screwdriver i cant remove it too. Right doorpanel- pushed too much central clip and i cant remove that central clip. So i need demage that clips, I think. I hate some mercedes ideas. (My doors sound cracky and i need use some noiseblock foam under panels.

I removed my door panel and fixed my door Handel. I put it all back to together. Now my door wont lock. Stays unlocked no matter what. All other doors works fine as before. Is there a safety mechanism that keeps you from locking door? Did I miss putting something back?

hey bud . sorry to hear that .. ok so of its the lock... maybe try the safety on the side on the door ..check the door lock hinge see if u flick it up or down of it still locks and unlocks .. sometimes its just jammed ... and ur sure u put everything back the way its suppose to go ?

@@MIKEYZVLOGZ yeah I rewatched your video and made sure it all went back right. Everything works except door wont lock. The door hinge I can move up and down. I can't even manually lock the door with the key. When i press lock button the pin just bounces and wont engage to lock. I dont see any safety buttons on the side of the door. 2010 c300. Thanks for your help and all your videos. Just did a system install that was solid. Just need my door to lock so I don't get jacked. Lol

@@MIKEYZVLOGZ sometimes it won't. Then sometimes yes will bounce. I tried the piece of tape it stopped the. Bouncing. Any which way I can't lock door. Even with a key. Almost like it's jammed

Hello Mikeyz, Excellent video. Thanks. On my W204 I have just managed to remove the tricky "H" clip but only after realizing that it was fitted 90 degrees anticlockwise to the orientation illustrated in your video. First timers beware!
