Hur bygger man en timmerstuga för hand helt ensam med

I det här avsnittet så beger jag mig djupt in i skogen för att träffa ‪@ErikGrankvist‬
Erik, som när han var 18 år gammal, begav sig in i skogen för att bygga sin egen timmerstuga endast med hjälp av handverktyg.
Helt utan förkunskaper, han var inte ens intresserad av träslöjd när han växte upp, men med en stark dröm så gav han sig ut med sin yxa och började att fälla sina första träd till sitt hem.
Erik berättar om passionen för hantverket. Vilka material han har använt sig av och hur han har tänkt när han byggt huset.

What a great Interview, thank you. I have been watching Erik since I came across his first video a few years ago, but hearing his voice for the first was so cool, and it fits his personality perfect. What I really did enjoy was hearing about why he wanted to start a You tube channel and how he wanted to pass down history teachings down to future generations so they could find it online one day. It's great to hear and see young people following there dreams or ideals of being something great. Keep up the great work and can't to see more updates of Erik.

Im so glad you filmed this. I was so curious as to how he learned all of the skills he possesses. It’s unbelievable that he set out with such a big dream and accomplished it with no prior skills. Wow, well done! It was nice to hear Eric speak, makes him seem more human, rather than this KZbin icon. I love the narration, the description of the origins, motivations and inspirations. It was particularly noteworthy hearing Eric speak of presenting almost-lost crafts and knowledge online for the whole world to know and practice and do. Question, where in Sweden is his cabin, his grandfather's woods located? Looking on the map it appears that 80% of Sweden is forest and mountains, a beautiful country, nonetheless.

To be precise, the county of Jämtland. Where exactly I cannot tell but the county is fairly geographically homogenous, the biggest distinction is between the small mountain tops and in the valleys in which he got his cabin. In one of Eriks previous videos he filmed both Ptarmigans and a wild boar he carried to his cabin, it's the only county in Sweden where these two species are even remotely close. It gets even wilder the further north you go, I recommend northern Lapland if you want to experience something like this. However you'll have to replace the wild boars with reindeers and northern light.

Been watching Erik since the very beginning and now I have found your channel as well. Great interview, you asked many of the questions that his followers would have liked to ask. I always presume his motivation for building the cabin was his sense of adventure and eagerness to challenge the Forrest. I thank you both for this great experience and hope Erik will speak more on his videos with English translation. However, as he says the videos are hard to make, perhaps translating them would add to the difficulty already so maybe not.

Hi Eric, I just did see your video and I give you my depest respect for your accomplishment ! About 15 years ago i did see all the videos of Dick Proenneke myself. Then 12 years ago myself and the wife went to Alaska and visited Dicks Cabin. I was facinated and started looking for an existing old cabin or place in the woods where i can build. Found one about 11 years ago in Smaland in Sweden. Moved to Sweden right away and been happy ever since. We are orininally from germany. Dont tell anybody were your cabin is !!! I did this mistake and now i have soo many surprise visits ...terrible !

I am not an experience carpenter but you can see the obvious that he himself are not skilled of it! But he keep on pursuing until he did actually be on it gradually, painstakingly perfected his worked.. great experienced and it is also motivational to some who would like to start this type of experienced!
