The eyebrow raise at 1:27 when you realize you've discovered something incredible made my day. King Gizzard is one of the most prolific and creative rock bands of our time, always trying new things, often psychedelically-inclined. Infest The Rats' Nest, from 2019, is their first full-on metal album, though they've done plenty of heavy rock over the years. They continue to release metal songs sprinkled among newer albums, and have mentioned wanting to do another full metal album.

Glad you liked that! That is a rat skull lol, from their album Infest the Rats Nest. This is def their heaviest album but they're an absolutely unreal band to explore and it's fun to go down the rabbit hole. You get different sounds and concepts with each album. Check out the albums Nonagon Infinity, I'm in Your Mind Fuzz, and honestly just take your pick on anything else. They're guaranteed to have at least some stuff you enjoy with the amount of output they have.

Yes. One of my favourite local (Australian) bands. They are primarily a psychedelic rock band. Every album (and there are heaps) is completely different, so you cant go by the sound of just one song or album. This album, 'Infest the Rats Nest' is one of their heaviest.
