suju = lego every single member can do everything . every time members left to the army they needed to organize the dance songs and stage all over . the members who have lots of solo work struggle to keep up with singing dancing so they free style the stage . siwon left early today to practice we are getting the 1st concert in over 2 years

Ha ha ha ha ‘Twins (Knock Out)’! This was a very popular style at the time of their debut. I actually got to discover SuJu via BoA and TVXQ back in the day! They’ve been in my must listen circle for a very very long time now. I think I was ELF from pretty much the beginning. There were times in the past where they were thrown into my mix of groups I followed but were not the focus as they pretty much are now. I’ve always wondered about the people who comment that they lip synch and have no talent. I don’t get that. Now back in the early years they had to lip synch because really…the shows didn’t have enough mics for all of them. They were overwhelming. I love them more now due to their hard ships and struggles as they continued their careers. Nowadays it’s much easier to find things that are subtitled or translated. Back then…we heard/saw what we could. It wasn’t much! (I’m in the US and I don’t speak Korean. ) It’s been a journey. I appreciate them so much. Around here….very few people know about SuJu. I mention KPop and only one band name comes up much to my personal sadness. I tell them my favorite KPop band is SuJu and I’m usually quickly dismissed with “who?”, “Ewwwww!”, “OMG they’re so old!”, “Untalented a$*hole$” etc…. Anyway, I digress, sadly in ‘Twins’ we don’t get to really see everyone. They focused on some key members back then and the other members are just lumped into the mix. Heechul…is Heechul. He makes me giggle when I see old footage because he always seemed like the pretty show dog that barked at everything with major attitude. (Ha ha ha sorry Heechul!) I must say that I LOVE the way they’ve all matured. They’ve been through hell and back. They will always have haters/antis. I think all of them (OT15) have remained wonderful people inside. They are human…extremely talented humans. Now they have the experience and the maturity to go with their incredible amounts of talent. Since they had to fight for every little thing in the beginning, I’m very comfortable saying that yes…they did pave the way, open the doors, lit the fire…however you want to say that, for the KPop industry. They’re true trailblazers and pioneers and artists. It’s so much fun to see how far they’ve come….and they’re still going. *quietly steps off soap box* Yeah, any reactions to anything live from them is a blessing. Also any variety show reactions as well…even if you have to google drive it. 😅 Take care and many hugs! 💙

In their early debut days, they are meant to be a rotating group where there will be recruitment and removal over time. The idea SM had at that moment is to have young ppl debuting thru superjunior and move on to different pathways, eg actors, solo or group singers, comedians, emcees and such. In many variety shows, Shindong mentioned that he aimed for the comedian pathway and its okay to have less lines as there are way too many ppl in the group to share a 3-4 min song. But, it could just be the company wish to focus more on the visuals of the group in order to attract more attention from the public. Also it's their tactics as well to start off a lot of songs in their early days with their "so-called" visual members like siwon, donghae and heechul. As for yesung, he do not have a lot of screen time in his early days due to some health issues he had that causing him to bloat easily, hence might not be as visually appealing as other members (we all know all of them look fine anyhow). And also due to the lack of screen time in his early days, Yesung gets into strict diet (not in a health way imo) to manage his appearance, so that he could look better on screen during comebacks or promotion period.

Not bad for a project group. They broke the mold of what kpop was at that time, being a group of members despised by the industry, for being different and having their own ideas and not letting themselves be handled like puppets. They are here to stay and what Lee So Man thought for Super Junior, the talent of these guys made him change his mind. (sorry my translator english jajaj)

I think Twins was so much ahead of its time like now it sounds amazing but I can imagine back then when it came out it was unusual and unexpected for a debut song and yes the result wasn't what they expected and here comes the miracle ^^

Hangeng was not allowed to perform live with them on certain television channels and some where he was allowed to, he had to wear a mask to hide his identity, at that time there really wasn't a contract made for foreigners signed with a label in s.korea. as an entertainer there were a lot of restrictions in place. Hangeng was the first in kpop to have this opportunity. He had to make many sacrifices and bear a huge burden. Barely made money to survive and send home for his mother, he was often mistaken for a back up dancer in live performances. All the training and hard work was for nothing, if he had to remain hidden. There weren't many opportunities to shine as an artist. After all, he did everything that his members did but he did not get to enjoy and remember it the way they did. He did not get a single leave in over 2 years and when he fell sick, he did not get proper medical attention. I think it was with gastritis and kidney disease. Heechul was wearing that to pay tribute to what Hangeng had to go through.

Feels good to know even if they aren't part of the group that they are doing well in their lives and are amicable with each other still.

I love the high notes of YESUNG, in this video the third main vocal maknae had not yet debuted or was integrated, that is, the youngest member of the group, who is now khyuyun because the original maknae was kim kibum who left for his career performance.

12-13 doesnt seem like a lot of members now days but back when they debuted the average was like 3-5 members! so of course they got a lot of criticism for the gimmick and a lot of people said they would fail, but now we're getting closer to the 20th anniversary haha

But actually in SJ return 1 Leeteuk said that their debut was not successful, so they were supposed to be disbanded after (which only Leeteuk knew about this info, the others only found out about it at that SJ Return 1 shooting many years after). Thank God after that debut,, they took off with Miracle song.

Kyuhyun wasnt there in suju yet, he join the group in 2006. They Was 12 in debut Leeteuk, Heechul, Hangeng, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Hyukjae, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook and Kibum.

idk if its true but they said some PD or MV director/s doesnt like the looks of yesung on his debut. yesung openly and oftenly joke about it, like when its his part the camera doesnt focus on him but to the other member/s. thats why now, he do IF and eat low carbs food and really taking care of his looks and body.

The reason why I don't often watch their old mvs and live performances is because of Yesung's little to no screen time. You can actually count the instances that Yesung was actually shown on cam. You can hear his voice but can hardly see him.
