Ugh, Kyuhyun really has such a rich and resonant voice that makes him most suited to be a balladeer and a musical actor. I like how you said when he was younger, his voice was bigger than him but now he's in command. His time in musicals really hone his voice to a masterful level. My fave song from him ever is Moving On where he employs quite a few of his musical techniques making the song sounds almost theatrical and sweeping; so beautiful~

Yessss, He's also one of the (or the only) male idol singer that can reach 4 octave. Cmiiw. Also The first male idol who became The King of Masked Singer. A lot of people in the industry said he really is got that "prince vibes" in him. And there are many reason why he got so many achievement in the music industry. He's just that perfect!

FYI, Siwon is a big fan of his voice. Siwon adores him so much and always says that Kyuhyun's voice helps him to sleep better. I really love how Siwon praises and dotes on him.

Every time I listen to Kyuhyun it makes me smile. It’s a miracle he’s alive and that he can still sing as majestically as he can. As others have said in these comments and others before he was in a horrible accident and his father had to decide whether to have an operation to save his son’s life and lose his son’s singing voice or try something else. Luckily they found another way, but every time I hear his voice it just makes me smile and thankful he’s alive and that he has so many older brothers in super junior that can give him lots of love and support. Not to mention us ELFs too!

FYI on April 19, 2007, Kyuhyun and fellow Super Junior members leeteuk, shindong, and eunhyuk were involved in a very serious car accident. They were returning from their radio show when the van they were in tilted sideways on the Olympic Highway, and eventually flipped due to a burst tire. While Eunhyuk and Shindong weren’t seriously injured, Leeteuk received 30 stitches in forehead and 150 stitches in his hip. Kyuhyun had suffered from many injuries, including ribs penetrating his lungs. Doctors said that in order to save him, they would have perform surgery on his throat, which would end his singing career. His father, who had arrived at the hospital while Kyuhyun was in a coma, made the impossible decision to not have the surgery performed and pray that his son would survive anyway. Miraculously, the doctors were able to perform an alternative surgery to his ribs, and Kyuhyun survived 😊 Btw Hurraira, thank you for reacting Super Junior 💙💙💙

I got to know leeteuk first but as i listen and watch each member, my bias keeps on changing so now all of them are my bias haha. He’s acting through his voice - that’s a succintly put. Can feel the various emotions radiating from his voice as he sings - I don’t understand a word but he speaks to me through his voice. Be it cheerful, sad or resigned - all come through clearly and goes straight to your heart.

I totally get it when you said Kyu's voice is universal, for me at my early ELF journey his voice is the first voice that catch my attention bcs it was a kind of voice that easily make you fallen in love, and he is just amazing everytime, and not just sounds good, technically amazing, but also like you said he also telling story throughout the song he deliver. Later I understand that each of the other member's voices were just unique (not a voices that you usually can find everwhere) so need a little more time to properly appreciate them

So Kyuhyun is my bias, and while I get wrecked constantly by the other members, there's just something about Kyu that I keep coming back to. My favorite song of his is Dreaming, for sure, and I'm glad you picked that one to see the MV. The song itself feels huge with life and sound, and the MV complements that so well making me feel a childlike wonderment at the world with all the colors and imagery.

I do agree with the comment that he is such a great storyteller with his voice. He is acting with that voice. That is super true. Even if you don't understand the lyrics or even see his face, it is amazing how he can inject those emotions into the song. Originally at gwanghwamun is KRY's song but in the end they didn't use it so kyuhyun asked it to be on his solo.... But KRY sang it on you hee yool's sketchbook if you want to watch, kyuhyun singing it great & perfect but KRY is like... great great their harmonization is.... Gold! 🥺🥰

I could totally relate..I also felt d same way..Yesung's unique tone kept me frm appreciating Kyu..but I'm jst so happy that I got into his solo works fast..I luv jow he switches to his falcetto..& d way he expresses each word.. Kyuhyun's voice is the most healing one to me. His voice can be so light or thick depending on the vibe of the song, and he always conveys the story of the song perfectly. I believe that he practices really hard to fully control his voice. And the power of his voice makes him a great musical actor. I'm not sure if the musical style music would suit your taste, but I really suggest you take a look at the live clip down below from Kyuhyun. as a huge fan of yesung, i totally agree with what you said about appreciating kyuhyun's voice. i gravitated to yesung's voice immediately when i started listening to suju, but when yesung was serving in the military i was able to gain a larger appreciation for kyu. at gwanghwamun is just such a good song. and i love his rendition of "i want to escape my destiny" from mozart the musical. and his cover of its she lovely at ss4 is iconic imo
