Andrew was the first Hurricane I experienced even though I had been in Fla since '77. Named my first son after it.

I was 11.. stayed in in fountainbleu hotel on the beach and was able to watch from the windows and all the boats in the intercoastal we're destroyed. Vividly remember the amount of dead fish that littered the beach after the storm.

I was in the Navy and there is no mention if tent city and all the fast food people who served food for civilian and military. Macdonald. Burger King. Even Anhizer bush canned water in their cans.

Can't believe no one talks about this. First time I seen President Bush and Barbara. They actually showed up.. Not like Joe in Pennsylvania.
