people in #NorthCarolina having to live in #tents, find someone with a #sawmill, saw out true 2x4s for the frame, cut 4inch skids, use 2inch slabs for the floor, 1inch boards for the walls, wood door, wood roof and nail on tin, 3 shelves high that wrap the sides and back wall, sleeps 9 adults, can be built in one day and its better than #living in a tent or buying a 38k camper

Nathan, I was wondering how you were fairing. My Mrs. and I were in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Bryson City area all week, we left our early Friday morning ….apparently at the right time to avoid any of the issues. Prayers to all affected.

Had a friend that had a neighbor with a rooster, so many complaints the police said the only way she could keep him was to have his vocal cords ‘clipped’ !! You could still hear him but it was like he was in a suitcase!! Much better

Hope it was not real bad in your neighborhood. I live an hour north of Steinhatchee and the coast that got Cat4 plus surge flood. I got Cat 3 winds and several broken trees. Was on generator 3 days, no landline, no Internet and glad this evening to catch up with KZbin favorites. After Idalia , TS Debby and now Helene we don`t want no more storms.

Someone asked about using wet wood to build a building. I built part of my house out of eastern hemlock. They can't kiln dry it. When it finally did dry it wa hard as oak.

In regards to my question on the live stream, concerning your fame having caused you negative consequences, you mentioned how people approach you in restaurants. I wonder what their attitude might be, if that were to start happening to them, or, if people started coming to their property. They'd likely start see things differently.

I never watch the live videos until they publish them after they have run live. I don't get the notifications of the live video. Edit: I recieve a rehomed Rhode Island Red rooster. He is quite the character. Every time I walked outside he tried to attacck me. If you take care of behavior issues while the rooster is young it takes fewer times repremanding it takes. 1-2 tries you are done in most cases. The rooster I just got, it took him between 15-20 attempts. He does not try and attack. Well, until today wwhen I was dusting my hens. He only bit me once Do not hurt the rooster. Grab him by the neck, the high so your hand is near the head so he can't biite you. Then you gain control of his feet. He can scratch get control as fast as you can. Lay him on hise side until he goes limp. Make sure you are at a position to hold him and release him without him thinking you are retreating. Standing up could make him think you are retreating so don't step back. Watch for him to drop a wing and stomp. Walk towards him, make him retreat. Look for him picking at small rocks and twigs and drop them with authority. Walk towards him. Allow him to protect the hens.

When you start recording, it’s working. The fumbling with the wondering if it’s working isn’t necessary. It’s working. Sorry for sounding rude but it’s unnecessary. Only improves the podcast! Keep up the good work!

I loved the sound of the clocks. But every hour? No thank you. I would head "Back into the woods". Hoping and praying for all you folks back there in hurricane country. Here in Oregon, we get forest fires and street people. Hurricanes, not so much. Stay safe.
@pamelah6431Ай бұрын
I love Oregon, but the govt & politics are utterly suicidal. Shame to have such a gorgeous part of the country as a dumpster fire. Spent several summers and winters in the Portland area with my uncle. We traveled a lot and I was so taken with your beautiful state that I would have moved there had I not gotten married and if my uncle had not suddenly died. I can't bring myself to go back and see so many places that I fell in love with totally wrecked.
@m8s4lifАй бұрын
@@pamelah6431 You are completely correct about our government and politics. The small area in the Northwestern part of the state that has the largest population controls our state politically. It is a shame.

@@pamelah6431 I have seen some real beauty in many places in this beautiful country, some in person, some in pictures and videos.
