CARE KITS | Care kits filled with water, flashlight, drip drop, Emergency Family Kits, Tarp, Deodorant and Mosquito Spray will be given to residents at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11 at the Brazoswood 9th Grade Campus until the kits are gone. The kits are provided by Aeriel Recovery and Global Empowerment Mission.
We will begin collecting trash pickup again on Thursday. All zones will be picked up. No recycling. We will consider next week if we can resume recycling pickup.
DAMAGE TO CITY | We have conducted a preliminary assessment of community damage. We estimate the city sustained at least $10 million in damage from Beryl. This figure includes commercial, apartments and homes. We have 46 homes right now that have sustained 50 percent or more damage based on the value of the home.
WATER
We had no water outages, and we did not have to issue a boil notice. We understand 31 communities did have to boil water because of outages.
