I finally spoke to my family in Jamaica after the hurricane Passover. It’s been three days now they say that my property in Jamaica is OK.

Mannix, where I am living, we have had storms that shut out the power for 12 hours in May of this year. In the winter, shuts off and on and the government told them to update some grid and even fine them. Government is not responsible for us to get generators in our home in the southern part of the United States. I think you need to re evaulate what you are asking the prime minister of Jamaica to do.

When hurricane Sandy came to America the light was off for 2 weeks in certain area. Generators are sold in Jamaica. People chose to bring in generators they SHOULD pay taxes. You are now in America acting as if what's happening with the light would be better in America if hurricane was in the USA. It would be worse ask Floridians and Texans how long it takes for them to get light after hurricane. It takes longer. Florida also experienced house fires with those generators. Stop speaking ill about Jamaica because you are now in America. It's the people's responsibility to buy their own back up system for emergency.

Tell Max again because we had a storm here in Texas in May. We had power outage for 12 hours in my area. Other area were much longer. Internet in my areas was out for three days. At times, people come to the U.S, do not listen to the news and just speak as if America is some Utopia because of the area in which they live in.

In addition, Eileen, too many Jamaicans have this give me, give me mentality like you owe them something. If you keep just giving to people, ask any pschologists/psychiatrists, you are setting them up people for failure.
