Hi everyone!! Here is a QUICK UPDATE!! Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers during hurricane Francine! We are safe and still home!! We are currently on generator power with hardly any cell or internet service. Lil G, Jarrett, Josie, and myself are visiting with the neighbors just making the best of it. We don’t have any major damage to our home. We have not been able to check on the off grid cabin yet. The Cajun yacht is still tucked away under the carport nice and intact. When we are able GJ Camping will be back online for a full update for all of you. Again, thank you all for the continued support you show us! We really appreciate each and every one of our fans!! ❤❤❤

Take care man. Funny story. When I lived in Louisiana, There was a hurricane that had just made landfall down on the coast, but the weather up in Bossier Parish was still nice, just a little breezy. I went down to the lake to try and get a couple hours bass fishing. 🎣 before the rain bands hit the Arklatex area. Brother did I catch some bass that day! I even caught one that weighed 4 pounds! They seemed to be turned on like a switch ahead of that storm! Have you ever noticed an uptick in feeding before a hurricane? Stay safe out there, Hope Francine doesn’t get too wild! Cook up some Beignets and fix a pot of CafeDu Monde for me! Your videos make me so homesick !!!

I fish a lot for Speckled trout and have noticed that they will feed hard before a storm or before a cold front comes through. I believe it’s something with the barometric pressure change that triggers them to feed. I have had some insane pre storm trips in recent years.
