I’m a Madeira Beach resident and stayed through Hurricane Helene boy was that stupid. It was a terrifying experience and we are a strong community 😅 Even though I lost my apt and my car at least I’m alive and have an amazing community ❤ working hard to rebuild for our vacation families around the world.

There was a brand new marina that took almost a year to rebuild after last years hurricane in north Florida - they reopened four weeks ago !! It’s completely GONE! Only the concrete pilings are left ! Let’s support locals and stress no rebuilding in these vulnerable areas again ! We , the taxpayer loose out every time !

Gassed up many times and bought lots of bait shrimp at Don's Dock while growing up. I was in the aftermath of Elana in 85 and this looks a lot worse. It will get better! It was dark days after Elana, but it did get A LOT better. Until the brighter days come, fair winds and following seas.
