Thank you very much for this great video. I have another question about your wearing method. If you worked physically all day, did you not have any irritated skin or friction marks on your skin in the evening? Did you take both guns away in the evening? I have no experience with concealed carry, in my region of the world I am only allowed to carry openly. I am also happy in the evenings when I can take off my weapon belt. That's why I'm asking these questions. So far I've only heard from you that someone has actually carried a weapon on site, and only you have mentioned the issue of looting and the militias. Could you make a video about this? What is the security situation like? Which actors are influencing security and how? I find this topic important as a learning experience for other first responders like me. I also find the topic of PPE important. After a mudslide like this, the mud left behind is supposed to be really toxic. What kind of PPE and how much do you recommend? Thanks for watching, I'm glad you got some value from it. Regarding concealed carry, Clint Smith said carrying a gun should be comforting not comfortable. Yes, after a long day it can be a little irritating to the skin. I'm happy to endure a little discomfort to stay armed. No, I stay armed all day. Even at home I don't take my gun(s) off until I go to bed, so I definitely wasn't going to do that in NC. I did switch back to the appendix position after changing into clean clothes and wore my backup on my ankle when not wearing the tall boots so it was more comfortable. Almost all men were carrying guns, some openly and some concealed, so it's surprising to hear people not talking about that. I'll make a video about the security situation but it'll be short. My knowledge is limited as I wasn't serving in that capacity. I've also heard about the polluted mud and I was pretty nervous about that. In my group I was the only one who raised that concern but I had heard about it online. I'm not an expert but I'd recommend an actual respirator over the n95 masks I was using, and eye protection as well. I wish I had more gloves to change them more frequently when they got wet. Some groups had full hazmat suits. For what I was doing that was unnecessary but they were going into crawl spaces and it would be important for that. As volunteers we were free to decline going into areas we weren't comfortable with.
