Insane seeing streets that people use to travel everyday, house to live in, store etc all be only accessible by boat or helicopter. I feel terrible for all those people affected by this massive and slow moving storm.

damn that suuuucks.... as a floridian born and raised... i think anyone on either coast anywhere on florida within 10 miles of the coast should just go ahead and know that it will happen to their property eventually... im not sure how many miles inland the storm surge went but at most 10? how far inland did the flooding go? im like 30 miles from the gulf coast near cedar key so i hope im good lol

In this video, I’m watching some Mobile homes, specifically in Tropicana, that have been in place for over 50 years! It’s not the fault of building departments or Developers? This was a devastating storm that caused this. Period. Not everyone can build or live in a Cat 4 Hurricane proof home or high rise condo.

Too low for that, most drains in FL have water in them all the time because the land is so close to sea level. In a storm surge there is no where for the water to go.

@@1pcmedic I was in Key west for 23" of rain in 24 hours, they were waterskiing in street behind pickup, but the water went back to the sea the next day, Would of liked this video to show meager attempt at drainage.

Why the heck, are there not, “Contractors in construction Who Know How, to build structures which would have at least a reasonable chance of going through Hurricanes without being completely destroyed?” If “It costs more to build it to survive”, is the answer, those costs also exist, “If the building does not survive”. Make it strong to survive the 100% chance that a Hurricane Will Occur!
