I RV fulltime in Orlando with my dog. In your experience, should we stay or go? Worried about Ian.
@lifererouted2 жыл бұрын
Good question - safety first! The hurricane we were there for was mild compared to what it looks like Ian is turning into, and we had a safe place to hunker down. Definitely follow your local evacuation orders, you and your dog are more important than the rv! Stay safe ❤

I’m glad y’all are all good and had plenty of time to prepare 😄 we’ve never been in a hurricane but have had 30-40 mph winds a few times. It’s not fun trying to sleep when it’s that windy 😬😳

Definitely not 🙈 thanks guys! Hope ya'll are doing good

The joys of working on the road. My wife and I did this for years working as hospital clinical pharmacists for IHS (Indian Health Services). We traveled the south as "migrant pharm workers".
@lifererouted3 жыл бұрын
Oh that sounds really interesting! My (Steph) brother is a pharmacist but I'd never heard of that, had to look it up. I bet that was such a cool experience 😊

Just wondering and not trying to be rude, but do you guys actually fully live in that rv?

We do! Steph is a travel nurse so we move constantly all over the US in it 😁

Glad everything worked out y’all 🤙. It was probably that extra slide water that helped weigh things down 😂. We pulled the slide in after a big snow not thinking about the slide...needless to say we’ve used the same bath towel on the slide trick 🤪!
@lifererouted3 жыл бұрын
Ha! Didn't even think about the extra weight, good point 😅 oh man I'm sure the snow was a mess too, glad we're not alone in that mistake 🙈
@HappilyEverHanks3 жыл бұрын
😱 thats such a bummer that all that water got into the camper form the slide coming in. We have never been exposed to weather like that yet 🤞🏼 we always wonder if we are going to encounter a tornado in the Midwest one day (hopefully not) so glad to hear you guys are safe and sound, stay safe and dry down there 👍🏼 - Kyle and Renee

get an awning for your slide, that will help keep the water out as well as the leaves ect.

Storms are never a good thing! I always get nervous but have only had a few leaks from time to time. I love listening to the rain on roof, just don't enjoy hearing the drips on the inside of RV.
@lifererouted3 жыл бұрын
Agreed! It's always a reminder that the camper would not be safe in really bad weather. Drips inside are never a good thing! Thanks for watching, Robert!

I’m so glad it wasn’t that bad! That would be so stressful! I was so worried at the start of the vlog ahhhh I would always rather be over prepared! Glad she made it! 💕❤️

40 mph won't do anything to your camper gotta be at least double that to blow it over even 80 mph wouldn't tbh
@TheTravelingLarsons3 жыл бұрын
So glad you guys made it through ok. We’ve been through a major wind storm in New Mexico last December. That was scary. Winds of over 80mph. Major winds driving through Montana just a few weeks ago, and major thunderstorms in Wisconsin over the summer. We’re from Oregon, all it does it rain. We’re not used to major weather. We feel your flooding pain! We’ve been chasing leaks right now. Again, so glad you made it through and I’m sure it was nice to have Mike’s parents there. Stay safe!
