Great video Right in my back yard. That first break is surfable. me and my buddy Jay surfed there about 20 years ago when we were a little crazy. theres a way to get in the water and you can really only surf the left. the right is impossible unless you like a rock sandwich in your face sorry we are two men that have been there before. The tow spot very impressive. fun stuff boys.

I had a similar freak accident happen to me Labor Day weekend. Idalia was sending decent swell to the Jersey shore so I decided to catch a few. On my very first wave, I find myself chest pinned to the bottom, and my legs being pulled over my head backwards. It felt as if I was being folded in half the wrong way. My spine bent between the thoracic vertebrae and lumbar vertebrae, a place it has never bent before. I am lucky that I did not break my back. Three weeks later my back is still sore. I can feel your pain brother, it could have been worse...

I have been surfing all my life and surfed thousands of waves big little super sharp reefs slabs every thing half way around the world and go and nearly kill my self in 1ft wind swell in Wales 50 yards from my front door .Yes it could have been worse i have brakes at T2 And T3 compression ones and a lot of soft tissue damage .10 weeks in a device that stops me from turning or bending my head i can only move from the waist ,it can only be taken off when i an lying flat .Stick to the plan and i can be back at it . Sound like you were very lucky i didnt realise mine was broke for 10 days till it kind of collapsed i went sick dizzy no balance then went to ER where ct scan and promptly taped to the gurney LOL .Do be aware and get your back a MRI they only let me out of hospital after a MRI confirmed every thing and no cord damage . @@ErrVine
