As climate change gets worse, and the ocean heats up, the hurricanes are going to become bigger and stronger. Florida is like a sore thumb I lived in Florida for fifteen years. I went to college in Florida. And I feel very sorry for the people who are the victims of these storms. It's just terrible.

Exactly right. 93% of added heat from greenhouse gasses has been going into oceans, and now that heat sink has reached a high temperature where it's feeding ferocious storms. For every 1C higher temp. globally, the atmosphere holds 7% more moisture. So at 1.5C that's a 10.5% increase, turning some places into debris filled mudscapes.
