On the Geology Hub KZbin Channel I've been heard about the possibility;of potential volcanic unrest & volcanic activity due to the strong stench of hydrogen sulfide & sulfur dioxide, occuring in Washington State & Oregon. Be prepared for hundreds to thousands of harmonic quakes & tremors;leading up to either a volcanian or a plinian volcanic eruption coming from either Mt. Adams,Mt. Baker,or Mt. Rainier,as there is growing evidence of potential volcanic unrest at these three composite stratovolcanoes that the U.S.G S (U.S.B.S) has been heavily censoring & omitting the data to try and avoid mass panic from the public;which would result in lawlessness & total anarchy breaking out if they were to tell Washingtonians & Oregonians living within the destructive range of these three composite stratovolcanoes, the truth of the fact that one of these three composite stratovolcanoes were about to violently & cataclysmically erupt.

I always thought American housing was cheap compared to ours in BC, where the average house price now is like $1.25 million CDN. But the number you cited that really stuck out to me was the $800 a month in property tax increase! That's bonkers! Thats like a permanent second or third mortgage! Our prop taxes are around $3k Canadian annually. I'll never complain about those again. Anyway, love your videos.. you'll get through this and I hope your financial stress eases soon. Don't pay out of pocket to fix your House as for sure the Insurance either won't pay out or make you some very low offer and you could be months trying to get your money back !! Don't waste any more money on the House , keep it in your pocket for your business . The Water Company that flooded it should take responsibility for the damage and pay all the people who's homes were flooded . Maybe all the folks who got flooded can get together and take out a Class Action Suit against the Water Company . I hope you can put this aside and get on with your new life in Tennesse , Good Luck to you Mate.

The mere fact of calling your insurance company to discuss a possible claim is enough for them to ding your insurance record. My brother lived in a area that was struck by a severe hail storm. His house had very minor damage, (a few reefing shingles with some marks and some spotting on the siding). His agent called him to discuss sending an adjuster out to assess the house for damage. Because so many homes in his development were effected, whether or not he filed a claim, his insurance was going up. The insurance paid to replace both the siding and the roof.

Your city has insurance and is liable for damage done by a water main break if it's laws are like California. I ran a water system in Ca for thirty years and during that time we bought several houses damaged by our water main leaks. They are then sold at action by the state. Either write them a nice but specific letter or hire a lawyer.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Hopefully you can apply for some fema assistance. Unfortunately, there's a lot of misinformation out there about flood insurance. Every property is in a flood zone... it's just a matter of what FEMA rating it has. It's true, x zones are your lowest risk rated flood areas (which is why your bank doesn't require flood insurance) however it's not risk free. Over 80% of the people who flooded during hurricane Harvey in Texas, were not in moderate or high risks flood zones (VE or AE), but nonetheless it flooded. I'm so sorry you're going through this. Sadly we've seen that occur here in Charleston as well. Thankfully you are alive and your family is safe however I know it's nonetheless extremely distressing to be dealing with flood waters. I would still appeal to FEMA and see if you can get assistance. They may be able to assist you with loss mitigation. You and your family are in my prayers 🙏

Same here in Australia the insurance companies find excuses to not pay, it's so unfair and criminal, I live rural NE Victoria Australia and when I bought my house and took out insurance it was around $500 to $600 per year new for old meaning they give you the same type of house or money equivilant, but a week after I took out the insurance it went up another few hundred dollars, then after taking photos and documenting all the requirements needed of the size of my house and what it is built of (I also totally renovated it) they sent a letter saying that not only has my insurance gone up a few thousand dollars that they no longer do new for old, by the way they also sent me another letter making the payments go up again but said they no longer cover for bush fires as I have farm paddocks (fields) next to my house, my protest was the paddocks have always been there. so basically they cover nothing, if the roof goes off in a storm but only some of it then they don't cover that and if everything inside gets damaged even if you have other insurance to cover contents or what's in your house, you have to have proof of every item including drapes and have a reciept know what year you bought them and what they are made of, same for carpets etc, but then they come up with an excuss still why not to pay. My daughter had a motor bike shop on their farm and her husband fixed motor bikes, lawn motor mowers etc and they had an office attached, they had the insurance company send a guy out to do a apprasel and years later it burnt down and the police and firemen said there was at least $300,000.00 worth of damage, the insurance company refused to pay as they said it was under insured, when my daughter explained their rep came out to insure it they still said no. After paying for solicitors, they only paid them around $15,000.00, they wouldn't insure their new ride on mower as now it's called a lawn tractor so they refused that too, so bad and sad for many people , sorry this is so long

The area I live in last year we had over 8,000 homes lost to fires over half of those homes will not get rebuilt because insurance denied those homeowners claims. We just found out a month ago all the fires were caused by our local power company that had a poll still in the ground from the 1920s that caused the initial flair up. There were lots of families displaced some of which are now homeless and living on the streets. With as many places being damaged down there maybe you can rent it to one of those poor souls that lost everything. They will need a place to live and definitely get the drywall cut out of the garage anywhere from 16 to 24 inches above the water line instead of sending a sheetrocker down there to do the work I would line the bottom 4 feet with OSB and replace the bottom insulation 4 feet also. You could do the repair over a weekend and still be a quicker turnaround than what it would take to get contractors to work on it. Especially when product availability is going to be the hardest part to make this happen. Chalk a line at 4 ft half inch up the wall and cut the line and then the lower half will be able to take a beating and you will bypass the insurance headache. Post those videos and you might get paid for the repairs you did. You are lucky you are a KZbin person and being stuck in one place is not a requirement for you to make money. Document trip there we will watch it and you will get a paycheck that could be the next month's videos right there. And if you can't sell it rent it there is a need for housing around Florida. It can still be on the market with a tenant in it.

If you live on the gulf coast you can get severe weather events. Beulah ‘67 (parents time don’t remember it), Allan ‘80, Gilbert ‘88, Dolly 08’, Alex 10’, tropical wave flooding ‘18, TX Freeze ‘21 - homes were flooding due to frozen home pipes and the power outage. Out of all that the scariest was when the water came up 1/2 way up my driveway. I thought we were gonna flood but luckily it stopped. So my house has never flooded due to a storm. However, one time my home flooded due to a toilet overflow when I was on vacation. So I would say if you are going to buy a house on the gulf coast today be well aware sooner or later a severe storm will occur. Also, be wary of new construction because builders want to buy cheap land to develop and it is cheap because it is low lying. . It is not always because of elevation but also because of poor drainage in the area. Locals know what areas in the city are flood prone just ask the older people.

After a big flood in the Netherlands in 1953 it took the government just six weeks to come up with a plan to never let it happen again, we took measures against all possible treats from sea, rivers and rainfall, we never had a big flood after that. Now and then a small flood that is more like an inconvenience and mostly along our borders with Germany and Belgium, we have obviously little control about floods crossing into our country. The house prices are about the same as here in Sweden, but we pay about 3.5-4% in interest, that's it no taxes or other fees. And a house like yours we pay about 11-12000 Swedish kronor and is about 12-1300 dollars a month on the loan that's it And it's not strange to borrow money even if the house has water damage, all that happens is that the value of the house drops and that's quite natural

@@danman1287 Not really. We have about 33% in general. You can get more tax or less depending on salary. Not having to save a cent for really good education for the kids makes it all worth it. Are the kids good enough they can get or be whatever they desire.

@@larka742 33% yikes n goes up... Bruce is an idiot. Zephyrhills lol. 4k per month. U maybe right about education bec he has zero math skills. N he discovered most of the payment initially is for interest, insurance n prop tax. 4k I think he could rent a waterfront lmao... This is hilarious. Nobody wants to live there

Every road in Europe is perfect and then you have the UK where nearly every road has a pothole or in a lot of places there are more potholes than roads.

The U.S really needs to put a ban on building any houses for a few years.

Florida needs to improve their building codes. That is the only solution. Every house needs to be designed to survive an F5 hurricane. It is absolutely insane that they did didn't do this 30 years ago. Just like all the houses that get wiped out in tornados. INCREASE THE BUILDING CODES! It is laughable that we aren't doing the easy thing.

I wouldn’t even trust insurance to reimburse if you went up front and try to get the work done ahead of them get a third-party adjuster. Wait for the inspection. Talk to the adjuster then make that decision.
