Peter was delusional about his ability. His manager and handlers puffed up his record with guys that were even worse than him. A few months before the Tyson fight they were talking about a match with Hasim Rahman. However his manager said no way. They were going to wait for Tyson to get out so they could make more money, Rahman would have beaten the brakes off of McNeely as well, but they wouldnt have made any money.

So sad, people ridicule McNeeley from the Tyson fight, even though he wasn't a high level pro, he was a legimate tough guy who retired with a respectable boxing record. Not many people in this world can make that claim.

How is being ranked the 7th heavy weight in the world, not being a high level pro!?!
@koneking2569
@koneking2569 4 жыл бұрын
@@JesseSwaney When was McNeely ever ranked 7th ? McNeely had some basic skills and was tough, but that's where it ends. Anyone time he fought someone with a winning record he lost, at most he could beat some journeymen and potential prospect..that's it.

He fought guys that didn’t know a boxing glove from a box of rocks. None of them were serious challenges so Pete was basically fighting guys with their hands tied behind their backs. He’s a joke.

Those who know how to box, box! Those who can't sit down and watch those that can! I was in a halfway house with Luis Leja Jesse James's cousin. He fought Mayweather in El Paso TX and got KO'd in the 6th I believe! Other inmates we're always trying to clown him and one day I got tired of it and asked them "who have u vatos fought? This man was a pro who fought arguably one of the best boxers ever in Floyd Mayweather!" I parked their asses and turned to Luey and told'em "don't be ashamed, your name will 4 ever be linked on a plaque in the BHOF, that's not something just anyone can say and no one can ever take that away from you!"

I love how she listens carefully Peter, asks meaningful questions and shows genuine enthusiasm and interest in his answers. Curly and Snubby couldn't be left behind, so did the grandmothers, mothers, fathers, cousins, nephews, nieces, and his whole kindergarten class.

What a hard nose dude. No denying that. Hope his quality of life doesnt continue to deteriorate with the obvious issues seen here. Sad.

I've never heard a white guy sound this punch drunk, he has a lot of heart though and I respect his fearlessness against Tyson

This guy brought the fight to tyson, he does not deserve the ridicule has has got in the past. Watch some of his interviews from the past, he comes across as a rational, thoughtful and humble guy.

People clowning this because of the Tyson fight. Like he problably 100x more braver than all you troll combine. Everytime I see Mcneely on interviews, he never fails to acknowledge his dad and his grandfather. I see thst he just wanted be like those two which I respect him for that. Such class act man.
