H David. I was on vacation last week in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I can tell you the water is super super warm. It felt like hot bath water. The season is going to ramp up soon

Yo, what’s up Vegas aviation it’s been like forever since I’ve seen you leave a comment. I hope all is well with you and I’m hoping you’re enjoying my channel still. But yeah wow sea surface temperatures in the upper 80s lower 90s is ridiculous for this time of the year.

Thanks David. Great job on explaining. Totally agree, like I said yesterday, time to prepare now as the storms will be starting soon.

I just came back from deep sea fishing, which I always do this time of year because no hurricane activity. But the water off the coast of Georgia right now is over 85* degrees but the humidity was below average. Last year, the humidity in the same area where we fish from was even lower than today. Once the humidity rises in the Atlantic Ocean, which has been predicted by NOAA scientists which is my daughter employer by the way stated that the humidity will rise.

So what’s gunna happen if we get the humidity ?! Or don’t?! Thanks
@gregd46332 ай бұрын
@@spacklerat3214 Great question, once the humidity rises it moisturizes the atmosphere which allows storm tops to form. Even though the ocean temperature is higher than normal, none of that matters if the upper atmosphere is dry because low pressure increases humidity. I know a lot of people think because the ocean is water, humidity levels should be higher than what is experienced on land. But it’s the exact opposite, hopefully I’ve answered your awesome question, if you need more information please don’t hesitate to ask me. Thank you so much 😊

David. Might be a dumb question but why does it seem The Atlantic is always colder than the Gulf of Mexico in terms of sea surface temperatures?

land areas heat up nearby waters than open ocean

Meanwhile Vietnam and China got hit with a storm. Taipei with one moving toward it. Whenever it's quiet over here, it's not over there. Vice versa

Hi David. Are we expecting another last big plume of Sahara Dust in August possibly? Thanks for your detailed videos.
@WeatherForce20242 ай бұрын
Most likely yes, but that won’t matter whole lot because of climatology.

My Guy, Schlotthauer! What’s it gonna be this year for Long Island New York! do you think we’re gonna get hit with the big one like Sandy was? I’m waiting for that double edge sword like I am waiting for a winning lotto ticket! Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

Because of the fact that the Bermuda and Azores high is forecast to be stronger this year, we’re gonna see a lot of low riders. In other words the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico and the Bahamas are highest at risk.

Seems to me like we have the seasonal rotation main flow south in August. I am thinking fewer storms.

so are you still thinking that there's going to be 20+ named storms this season?

I am still forecasting at least 22 named storms with the three that we had.

David what are the odds of Connecticut getting hit by a hurricane or a tropical storm ?
@WeatherForce20242 ай бұрын
the odds are rather low but at least 1 will sneak up the coast.

@sammyday33412 ай бұрын
My method of predicting the tropics is to take the number of named storms offered by Colorado State and dividing by two.

Yup, and that was with an El Niño. I want you to do me a favor we scraped away El Niño now we have a cold neutral forecasted to have La Niña by the fall and I would say once things line up, we can get four to maybe seven storms at once.
